A week has passed, since Derek evolved and cheated death.

Bella couldn't have been happier that Derek was still alive and more powerful than before.

He even changed his mind about having a tail and water powers, claiming he now had his own kind of tail, but the couple were just happy to be together.

In fact, they decided to leave Beacon Hills together.

The pack were distraught by the news, but the couple assured them that it wasn't forever, that they just wanted to travel.

First stop: Gold Coast, Australia.

Bella had emailed her mermaid friends, asking if they could make it back to the Gold Coast for a week or 2 as she missed them and wanted Derek to meet them.

Rikki had replied that she'd be there as soon as possible, but hadn't heard back from anyone else.

Now, the werewolf/mermaid couple were at Gold Coast, having arrived the day before and were walking hand in hand, along a secluded beach.

Thankfully, no one else was around as it was 1 of the few places the mermaids could have their tails out, without fear of being seen.

They stopped and stared out at the ocean, admiring the view.
"I don't know why I didn't come to Australia before" Derek comments.
"Probably because you hate the sun, sand and sea" Bella jokes, smiling.
"I don't hate it. I've just... Never been on a beach" Her boyfriend replied.
"Well, I'm honoured to be the one to bring you to your first beach" Bella says, making him smile at her.
"Bella!" They heard 3 female voices call out the blonde, making them turn around to see a brunette and 2 blonde women, running over to them with big smiles, making Bella smile excitedly.
(In my story, Bella and Emma did meet and are good friends)
