A New Beginning

Third Part & Questions

So!
I see a lot have questions... fair, but some will eventually be answered later on as the story goes on.

But to catch up to speed here is all you need (bc it's been so long since I've updated)

-The timelines from Canon KNY and this fic diverges at the end of the last arc were Tanjiro became a demon who couldn't be controlled and eventually injured everyone to the brink of death. However Sanemi, Giyuu, Kanao, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Nezuko were able to survive, albeit Nezuko had been kidnapped by Demon Tanjiro as he fleed.

-For the next 3 years everyone recovered, Aoi became Giyuu's Tsuguko, Giyuu helped to work at the butterfly state, learning from Aoi about some medical skills but overall just trying to help the best he could to take care of the new flower Pillar. Eventually he becomes some sort older brother figure. In this time he also tried his best to smile but it seemed far to weak or fake and the wind pillar didn't buy it, in fact he hated him for trying to hide away his emotions with a smile like Koucho had done in the past.

-Demons have rampaged a lot more cities during this time since they were immune to the sun, so they were just twilight vampires at this point (IMPORTANT. Not the twilight thing just the sun immunity).

-Demon Tanjiro became batshit crazy and started trying to kill everyone left alive: Tengen, Sakonji, Zenitsu(who tried to free Nezuko), Sanemi... Kanao too at the end though they tried to stop him with a drug which didn't work in the end.

-Canon Giyuu died at his 25th birthday fighting against Tanjiro until sunrise but failed to kill him. However Giyuu was turned into a demon and the rest of the story is unknown (for now).

-Giyuu's memories then get tranfered to his other self in another universe, one where he is a 7 year old girl who lives with Tanjuro and Kie as their foster parents after Tsutako died.

Which poses the question... what does Giyuu identify as then? Since the girl now shares the memories of the other, then it will be a She, the narrative voice also uses a She all the time when referring to Giyuu of the present but a He if it refers to the Giyuu of the past life. It's a reincarnation thing honestly. Both are fine just used in their own context. But then, does Giyuu identify with either? Well, the girl Giyuu does identify as a girl and the Giyuu of the past... is dormant about it because only the memories where transfered. Since Fem!Giyuu only recieved memories, like watching a long looong movie of the future, while the status of the Giyuu that died at 25 is just dormant, unknown.

-So anyways after waking up with those memories at hand, and some of the habits known by the past Giyuu: She starts to train until she is 12, at which she finally goes to the final selection, meets Makomo (13) who had escaped to go to the final selection, and they both defeat the Hand Demon (yay!)

-The survivors of this Final Selecrion are Giyuu, Masachika, Makomo, Tengen +Wives, and Kaigaku.

-Giyuu later on recieves her (perverted) uniform alongside a checkered kimono to cover her. Goes on a mission joined by Tengen and his wives, something something, hidden lore about a demon knowing who her real past might be and is probably a demon inmune to the sun. Something something, Giyuu finally calls on her Kaigarasu crowbto help her deliver the news to Ubayashiki that she has information on the blue spider lily, as well as something else.

-On her first (emergency) pillar meeting Giyuu sees Himejima again, cries, sees Shinjuro, cries a bit less( he didn't know him before as much as the others, bc the only ones he seemed to talk to where Sabito, Urokodaki, The Kamados, Kanae, Shinobu and the butterfly girls later on. Sanemi was... complicated. And Rengoku + Mitsuri was just them always being friendly, the rest stood very off in the scale, but Giyuu did always respect Himejima. Everyone does.)

-Giyuu tells the whole story about the pillars and the Demons and what has led to the future, no one believes it at first except Ubayashiki who knows the Tokito as the desendants of the first breath users.

-In private Ubayashiki shows her a picture of a doctor and a nobleman, Giyuu can't recognize it. Later Amane finds out that her distant family is a doctor, and was supposed to be taken there at one point after her sister died. Tsutako's killer remains unknown.

-Giyuu is dragged by Shinjuro to change her clothes, she meets Sabito for the first time, she cries, a lot, getting over that awkward scene they start talking again until Giyuu recieves the new clothes and Makomo comes.

-Later on Giyuu has a mission alongside Shinjuro Rengoku, to go on and rescue Obanai from his family associated with Demons. They manage, Mitsuri(10) the normal citizen helps out running away with Iguro and Kaburamaru. Giyuu slices its head, the family still lives and Iguro is safe under the Kanroji's care.

-But a few days later they come asking if Iguro wants to train under Urokodaki. After a long thought he accepts and goes alongside Makomo to start training alongside Sabito. A year later they become friends, have a small fallout, become friends again under the final selection and befriend Kanae(13) and Shinobu(10) there too.

-During that time Giyuu has started helping her parents out, gone out to care for the flowers and her father who has been very sick these days. And at 13 finds Shinazugawa's village, where she and Masachika try to get along (spy) on the family as well as handling the demons that might lurk around here.

-They somewhat fail on the getting along part but since there aren't any demons there, Giyuu and Masachika leave, each to their own places.

-Two people are looking for Giyuu. Mysterious people.

- The Rengoku's are having a nice sleepy time when all the sudden an upper moon appears in the backyard.

- A demon from the past timeline appears to be here in this current timeline, helping Muzan.

-The top 3 Upper Moons are dispersed through the place where most of the new demon slayers are.

As for where I have been during the past... freaking two years? Well....

I do admit I don't have a lot of my life planned out, and I mostly write when I tend to have spare time as well as when I have the inspiration to do so. As such there are also a lot of times where I did get a lot of burnouts by myself which lead to a lot of fics being published but almost none completed, and that is a very toxic trait of mine that I am trying to fix as I try to leave for a new ground and get my life together. So far the biggest reason I couldn't upload for a long while had to be due to the overwork I put myself into, and in the end ended up costing me a lot thus ending up in a constant state of stress and anxiety over my work that I hadn't even gotten to noticed how I started to developed a short attention span, short term memory and even time blindness, which nothing of it is taken seriously but those around me so I have to fix myself instead of asking for help. That in it too is why I've always had to come back and re read my fics all over again in order to make a coherent story for every new chapter that I'll post.

I shouldn't, and neither should any author, pressure themselves to write fanfic on time tho I have seen a lot of problems withing me (and my lying and breaking promises) which is why I'm trying to fix it as much as I can, hopefully, and why I must apologize, to the readers here as well as the other ones who have waited on my fic and stayed despite my long absences.
