"W-what? Granddaughter?" Napatayo ang mama ni Calen sa kinakaupuan.

My heart started to beat faster. What the fuck is he talking about in front of his mother?

"Is it George's daughter?" She gasped.

Mabilis na kumunot ang mukha ni Calen. He was flabbergasted and offended. "Mom, I'm your only son. What are you talking about?"

Her mother covered her mouth with her hand fan and laughed. Medyo nagulat ako doon, ha. I was expecting her to be strict, but I guess I was wrong.

"How can you have a child? You're being delusional. Oh, God, I'm tearing up." She wiped her forming tears and continued laughing.

Ravi started to laughed with her. Calen was now extremely offended. He almost rolled his eyes. I didn't want her to find me rude.

"What are you laughing about, too, huh?" Pinisil ni Calen ang pisngi ni Ravi.

Ravi just giggled more and shrugged her shoulders. "Don't know..."

"Is it George's?" Tanong ulit ng mama niya pagkatapos tumawa.

"What? How can he have a daughter?" Calen's eyebrows furrowed even more.

"Where's George? I haven't seen him for a while now."

Calen rolled his eyes. "Somewhere,"

"Where is that somewhere?"

"Condo? I think? He moved out. I am not sure."

"Where is that? I want to visit him."

Calen sighed. He lost his patience. "Mom, please. It's morning. You're giving me a headache—"

"Good morning, son!"

A mid-50s man entered with a bright face. He's wearing a white long sleeve, folded until his elbow, a leather Gucci belt, black pants, and black shoes. His grey hair was perfectly fixed on the right side of his head. My eyes traveled from his head until his toe. He's perfectly fit for his age.

"Jesus..." Nasapo ni Calen ang kaniyang ulo.

"Down, please..." Ravi pointed her finger down.

"What happened to your face—oh, whose child is that? Who is this, too?" His father looked confused when he looked at me.

"Down, please," Ravi repeated for the second time.

"Mom, Dad, let's talk about this—"

"Daddy, please..." Ravi cupped his face to make him focus his attention on her.

His parents went silent and their jaws dropped. Pati ako ay napatahimik din.

"Ravi..." Tinawag ko siya, kinakabahan. Ravi immediately diverted her gaze at me, but she didn't listen. She went straight to Calen's mom.
