"Hey Vee." Tsukishima Kaitou waved to his sibling. "Hi." They waved. "Something wrong Sprout?" Hiro asked. "No. I'm fine." Slyvee smiled, but their siblings could tell it was a fake smile. They decided to not push any further since they both know Slyvee isn't one to break their act. The three of them walked home discussing how their days went. "Dad we're home." Kaitou called out. "How was school?" Tsukishima Tadashi asked. "Good." The three said in unison before Slyvee went upstairs to their room. Something isn't right.

"Something's up with Slyvee." Hiro said to Kaitou. The two were in Kaitou's room working on homework in silence. "No shit Sherlock. I just wish they'd tell us what's wrong." Kaitou sighed. The sound of Hiro's phone vibrating cut through the silence. "Oh it's Ivyier." Hiro said as they opened the message. Kaitou turned to face his sibling, curious about the message. "He's asking if Slyvee is alright cause Aiko noticed they seemed off." Hiro told him. "Maybe something happened at school that upset them." Kaitou shrugged. "Maybe." Hiro sighed before setting their phone down.

"Vee?" Kei knocked on his child's door. "Yeah?" Slyvee's muffled voice asked. "Come out sweetie you need to eat dinner." Kei told them. "M not hungry. I'll eat in a minute." Slyvee told him. Kei seemed doubtful but he walked away from the door. In the room, Slyvee hid their face in their pillow. "Those girls are right. I'm just holding Atsuki back. She could have anyone else as her friend but I'm holding her back." Slyvee's phone buzzed with a text from their older friend, Kiko.

Kiki: heyyyyyyy Vee

Slyvee: hey Kiki what's up?

Kiki: sigh

Kiki: same old same old

Kiki: boring classes, dumbass classmates

Slyvee: pining

Kiki: like you aren't

Slyvee: I am not pining

Kiki: uh huh

Slyvee: okay who do you think I'm pining for

Kiki: the same girl who threw a book at someone's head because they were mean to you

Slyvee: damnit I told Atsuki that it wasn't a big deal

Kiki: maybe not to you but clearly it had a huge impact on her

Slyvee: how do you even know that happened?

Kiki: Mizuki told Chinen who then told us

Slyvee: ah gotcha

Kiki: anygays

Kiki: wanna vent about what happened

Slyvee: no thanks but thank you for the offer

Kiki: hey I'm always here if you need to rant

Slyvee: thanks Kiko

Kiki: anytime 😋
