Omegaverse Guide

There are some modifications that are different to what is usually read.

What is an omegaverse?

The omegaverse is a genre of stories within this marvellous world of fanfictions, in this alternative universe people are divided in three genres: alphas, betas and omegas.

We want to clarify that there will be some modifications in this story, there might be things that aren't the same as in other fanfictions.

This is a guide taken from the internet, with some modifications of our own, credits go to the owners.

Alphas

Controlling their rational part. The alphas are on top of the three genres, they have a higher social status. The alpha, male or female, has the capacity to impregnate an omega due to the existence of male reproductive organs, inner in case of female alphas.

Alphas tend to be more aggressive and overprotective, specially with their omegas, they also lose control over themselves when their omega is in heat.

Omegas

Both male and female have femenine reproductive organs (uterus and ovaries) and are perfectly capable of conceiving as long as they are impregnated by an alpha and, rarely, a beta. It is here where, clearly, the MPREG (male pregnant) starts, due to their high fertility. Male omegas also have the natural male external reproductive organs, but they CAN NOT impregnate another omega. By nature, omegas produce their own lube, tend to be more submissive and calm, this can change depending on the personality of each omega.

Their scent is sweeter than the alphas.

Betas

They are basically the same as humans, only female betas can get pregnant, they have a mild scent that is barely noticeable. There isn't much to explain here.

The Knot

Alphas have a bump at the base of their penis, called a knot, that grows inside of the omega when the alpha reaches orgasm, getting trapped inside of the omega until it goes down, this is a biological advantage for reproduction.

The bond

This part is essential. The bond, connection or union is made when the alpha bites the omega on the neck, leaving a mark that will no longer disappear. This means that the omega has been taken and is now unconditionally attached to the alpha. However, there is no such thing as this bond between a beta and omega or alpha, two alphas or two omegas.

The bonds don't depend on love, they won't change if alpha and omega don't love each other. Supposedly these bonds should last forever, but there is the ability to break the bond due to the death of one of the two or because the alpha decides to end it.There are some bonds that are so tight that they can feel what their partner is feeling, even if they are in different places. In this story, bonds can also be broken if the connection is too weak, this will be important further down the story.

The voice

The alphas have 'The Voice', it has different names, but very similar as voice of command, voice of alpha and derivatives. The point is that when they speak with this voice, they have a reaction of complete submission in omegas, even in betas and younger or less powerful alphas.

The Heat

Both alphas and omegas go through a period from time to time called 'heat', in where their animal part takes control of them and the libido (sexual desire) increases to the point where they feel a strong necesity to be with an alpha or omega. When they are near their destined alpha or omega they can enter in heat. Alphas usually have heats that last up until 24 hours while omegas last three to four days, this times variate depending on each author. In this story omegas heat lasts the same as the alpha's.

Birth control

Also going to be referred to as 'suppressants'. Omegas take birth control pills as an contraceptive method because in omegaverses condoms don't exist , because they will break when the knot forms, however this varies depending on the author. Birth control pills usually hide the natural scent, some pills are stronger than others, there are also contraceptives for alphas but those won't be mentioned in this story.

Our modifications

Depending on the author, alphas, betas and omegas, usually present their genre at puberty, some author make it possible to know since the pregnancy, but in our story, the genres will be presented at the age of 6, not with a heat, but with the scent, sweet if it is an omega, strong and intense if it's an alpha, and mild and neutral if it's a beta, this is very important in our story.

In this story it is common that the alphas give the mother or father omegas a jewel of the colour of the eyes of the omega they like, this is to ask for permission to court them, once they have the family blessing, they can start the court.

There is a substance called 'alpha essence', invented by Zayn's father, which will be explained further down the story. This is very important for the plot, so you have to keep up with this.

⚠Attention⚠

There won't be much smut in this story, this is for some reasons, first, it is not important for the plot, second, smut is not really our thing and we want to give you a good and well written story, there will just be a few smut scenes.

There will be mentions to some sensitive topics as violence, vulgar language, alcohol consume, drugs, abuse and murder. None of these topics should be normalised, nor mafias and all the things they make. Some of these topics can be hard for some people. This is a fanfic, the only purpose of this is to entertain, we ask for discretion while reading and always keep in mind that the things done in here are not right and shouldn't be normalised.
