I'll keep my promise, omega, you'll see, the alpha repeated to himself as he ran down the stairs of the house, his eyes were red and full of tears, how had all this happened? How could someone get into his house? How could something like that happen again?

How was it possible for all of that to pass under his care?

The alpha ran until he reached the playroom and slammed the door hard. He didn't even care about the stupid protocol of knocking three times, he just wanted to see that his little ones were okay.

"Open up, it's me!" The alfa said aloud and the door didn't take too long to open.

His two cubs ran to him as best they could and hugged his legs, their eyes were teary just like the alpha's because they could feel the tension in his father; Shawn was behind them with River in his arms, cold sweat dripping down his forehead and his breathing was rough, he couldn't feel Niall and that worried him.

"What's going on Liam?" He asked as he watched as the alpha carried his children.

"Someone broke into the house, we must leave as soon as possible." He said quickly.

"You think we don't know that already?" Harry interrupted, calling the alpha's attention, as he hadn't seen that he was there.

He took his gaze to the secret door that was open behind Harry and frowned, then looked at how the lights flickered slowly, he hadn't realised that all of this was actually happening, it wasn't just another nightmare.

"Where the hell were you, Harry?" He asked somewhat annoyed.

"I was with Louis when someone knocked on the door, we immediately realised that they weren't following the protocol and Louis told me to get out of there and run away with you." The omega quickly explained as he took River in his arms so that Shawn could rest.

"Do you know who he was?" Liam asked.

Harry looked down and took a breath trying to steel himself.

"He was his biological father." Liam's expression changed completely, he was surprised, and although he wasn't afraid of Charles Tomlinson, he knew perfectly well that that bastard had too many contacts who were more than willing to defeat Icarus Rose just out of greed.

"We have to go right now!" A chill ran down the back of both omegas upon hearing the tense voice of the alpha.

Liam never behaved like that, but he was afraid that his omega's life was at risk and he felt useless not being able to help him. The alpha inside of him was screaming, begging for him to run and kill anyone who got between him and his omega, but the rational side of him was forcing him to stay there to take care of his family. He would save Zayn, of course he would, but all in his own time.

He wiped away his tears and entered the tunnel Harry had come from and both omegas followed him.

"Where are we going?" Harry asked quietly. "I saw someone in the tunnels on my way here, so we must be careful."

Liam stopped before going through a part where two tunnels met, he pointed his gun forward and turned quickly to see if there was anyone, once he saw it was clear he signalled for Harry and Shawn to continue.

"There's an exit here." He began, "it's not on the maps and hardly anyone knows about it, it's made specifically to exit from the game room, we just have to open the right door and we'll be out of this place."

They kept walking slowly, they couldn't risk being heard or seen, that would ruin everything, and even though Harry and Liam were trained for that kind of situation and they were both armed, they didn't know how many people they were up against, and they didn't want their babies to witness a scene like that.
