Chapter Thirty Nine

The next morning everyone locked themselves in their offices, except Shawn and Niall, who preferred to go out all day to avoid trouble and talk a little about what had happened. Liam and Zayn didn't feel like the best people in the world, but they were calmer knowing that Shawn had already bled into the ring, he was already part of the family and at some point they would have to apologise, and they knew that time would tell them the right time to do it. Things in the mafia were starting to go as before, but Zayn now had more difficulty working, he got tired faster and he preferred to spend his afternoons lying on his bed next to his alpha than in some meeting with other, alphas especially, men that only caused him to be nauseated.

Harry and Louis had talked last night, and the alpha explained to his omega that he had tried to talk to Zayn, but hadn't gotten anywhere, even though that wasn't important anymore and Harry made him promise to apologise to Shawn, and that things would be good again.

"I'm starting to miss the house in the country." said the alpha as he arranged some sheets on his desk, Harry was sitting in front of him with his gaze fixed on his cell phone, but when he heard his alpha's words he smiled, "the calm, the loneliness, sitting in front of the fireplace in the morning…" he sighed, "I think we should take a vacation.

"Vacation?" He asked and stood up to approach Louis. "What kind of vacation, Mr. Tomlinson?" He sat on his lap and kissed him affectionately.

"Well… I don't know, I haven't thought about that." The curly laughed and leaned against the alpha's chest. Louis looked at the sheets on his desk and a thought came to his mind. "Have you ever been to New Zealand?

"Every weekend with my mum and sister," Harry said sarcastically, "of course not Lou, do you want to take me there?"

"I need to go to my vineyard to take care of some business, and you can go with me if you want." Harry stood up to see his alpha's face and narrowed his eyes.

"So you're going to go, and if I want I can go with you, huh?" Louis laughed and took his face in his hands to kiss him.

"Let's go," he kissed him again, "we're definitely going." He got up from the chair with Harry in his arms and he laughed.

"And are we going to leave right now or where are you taking me?”

"No, not today... I have... work... a lot... work, but tomorrow, tomorrow... we'll leave." He spoke awkwardly without stopping walking until he reached the door at the same time that he distributed multiple kisses on the omega lips. He leaned Harry against it and placed a kiss on his neck.

"Louis, I think that if you have work to do I should go," the alpha ignored his words and kept kissing him in the same place, “Lou... Lou..." The omega chuckled as he felt the beard that had begun to grow on the alpha's face brush against his neck. “Lou, I promised Stella to go buy some things with her... no... Louis!" The alpha had started to unbutton his shirt while he was distracted with the kisses, but upon hearing the scream of the omega, he stepped apart and looked at him with raised eyebrows.

"Yes?" he asked with fake innocence.

"I'm leaving, you get to work, we don't need any more problems." The alpha lowered him and Harry opened the door to leave the place, but as he walked he felt Louis give him a spank that resounded throughout the corridor, several of the guards who were there looked amazed and Harry jumped in surprise, "Louis!”

"See you later, little bear." He winked at him and with a smile she closed the door of his office, leaving an omega blushing in the middle of the corridor.

Harry walked to his sister's room and indicated that he was ready to go, they both left the house in the direction of a laboratory supply store, the beta had been working a lot since she arrived at the house and needed some things to continue with her investigation, but she didn't want to bother Zayn with it, so she preferred that Harry accompany her.
