Aphmau stopped herself on what she was going to say before inhaling slowly and opening her eyes to look at the man before her..
"Aaron..i've been Thinking a lot lately..and I know what we've said before, that we would wait until We're finished with highschool..to be together..but..i..cant.."
"wha..?"
"I can't wait anymore to be with you..!"
"Aph.."
"i wanna be-...i wanna be closer to you Aaron..! As more than friends..!"
"you-..aph..why..?"
"because i-..i feel how i feel about you..i cant describe..! You being with me...i dont..deserve you.."
"dont say that..!"
"h-huh..?"
"aph..you-..you dont understand..how much i want this.."
"y-you do..?"
"yes..but i..i just cant.."
"why..?"
Aaron started to stutter as aphmau stared at him blushing and also sad at the same time as he looked at her and he took a deep breath before looking at her.
"aph..i..i want to be with you..but our relationship..has to wait.."
"Do you not..like me..?"
"i..i like you..more than you would ever know..but my..my life..is more complicated than i can describe to you right now..and i'm not ready to get into it just yet..im..im so sorry..i want to but..i just-"
aphmau stops Aaron from talking by hugging him almost immediately to calm him down and put her head on his chest before backing off and looking up at him to open her mouth and speak.
"its alright..you dont have to explain..if you aren't ready I can understand and respect that...i will wait for you when you are ready.."
"aph.."
"I value you..more than you know..and i dont wanna lose you as a friend..but i cant deny that it still hurts..to not have you.."
"aph..for me..you will always be the one.."
"H-huh..?"
"even if you love someone else in time we are apart..theres no doubt in my mind..you will always be the one for me..i will never not feel this way.."
The two of them stared at eachother silently before the silence was broken by aphmau who was starting to blush almost 10 times as more than Aaron.
"A-Aaron..? Can i ask you something..?"
"Anything.."
"when we're older..can we be together..?"
"What do you mean?.."
"I want a chance to be with you..i want something to look forward to..and if that's not possible I understand..but i want hope to-"
"I promise.."
"You didn't even let me finish i-"
" i want that..more than you would ever know..and i promise you..we'll be together some day..just..not right now.."
"you need to seal that promise.."
"What do you mean..?"
"w-with..a kiss..?"
"eheh..alright.."
Aphmau squeaked and blushed harder with shock and couldn't explain how suprised,happy,in love, and confused she was..
"h-Huh?..really..?!"
"im not planing on going back on this promise.."
aphmau and Aaron kiss and once they pull away, aphmau smiles a bit and even giggles and once again, looked up at him with a bright yet cheeky smile as he looked at her the same way.
"when im ready for a relationship with you..i'll kiss you again.."
"promise..?"
"Promise..."
"hehehe..if thats a promise..then you owe me another kiss..~"
"eheh..alright..come closer.."
Just when aphmau and Aaron were about to kiss once again, their moment was ruined because garroth came in and found them after a little while. And it kind of scared the two of them as they were blushing messes and very very embarrassed.
"Guys! The fireworks are gonna start! Come on!" He said as he ran off once again to go join the others to watch the fireworks to end off summer. Aphmau stared at Aaron and lightly smiled before holding his hand. "Shall we go..?" She asked as he nodded, "as long as im with you.." he said as she giggled. The two of them joined the others as well.
They all watched the fireworks crackle and shoot up in the summer night, all holding eachother and looking up at the arays of colors in the cool air. Aphmau looked up at Aaron and smiled as he held her, he looked at her the same way and smiled..
"I love you..my stupid potato~"
