It's been at least an hour since you left the hotel. A few words were spoken but you didn't bother paying attention. Five clicks his tongue which catches your attention

"This actually isn't so terrible" Five says not taking his eyes off the road as Klaus puts down his drink. You were about to nod but stop and look back out the window

"See? Told you" Klaus agrees

"Come to think of it, my whole life i've been under the gun. Missions for dad, working for the commission, trying to survive the apocalypse. I was always looking around every corner, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's nice to just breathe" Five explains his whole life story. You felt a little pit of sympathy in your stomach as to what Five has been through. You look at him and see his eyes were already on you. You give him a small smile which he returns

"Good for you, man. Retirement is suiting you" Klaus says not taking his eyes off the road and slowly nodding his head. You nod your head in agreement widening your smile

"Someone looks to be enjoying themselves" Five smirks as he notices your wide smile. You instantly frown and use your hands to cover your face

"Shut up" you mutter embarrassed as you look at the ground. Five scoots closer to you again putting his hand on your thigh. Your face turns red

"You're allowed to smile, love" Five whispers in your ear as he squeezes your thigh gently. Your face reddens even more and you stutter not managing to get any words out which makes Five chuckle. Five blinks to the front seat grabbing a map and blinks back sitting close to you with his leg and your leg touching. Butterflies in your stomach. You lean your head on his shoulder looking at the map. Five smiles at your action

"So, I've circled all the roadside attractions along the way" Five says excitedly

"i'm not sure we're gonna have time..." Klaus mutters

"We have the Brownsville Big Nickel" Five continues ignoring Klaus

"Oooh, what's that one?" You point to the map as your eyes lit up. Fives smile widens as he sees you contributing and enjoying yourself

"That sweetheart, is Ricky's Bakery has award-winning pies" Five says looking down at you with a smile.

"I love pies!" You giddy looking up at him and he chuckles

"If you just let me explain..." Klaus tries to explain only to get interrupted by the pair

"We should go to Cow Henge" you say pointing to the map. Five nods in agreement

"That's it—don't—" Five tries to tell Klaus but gets interrupted

"Listen to me. Just shut up for two seconds, okay? Just two seconds? Alright?" Klaus bursts out. Five sighs folding and putting the map on the empty seat beside him before giving Klaus a sarcastic smile. You furrow your eyebrows in confusion

"Okay, i'm all ears" Five says in a snarky tone as he glares as his brother from the mirror. Klaus gulps before starting as he feels his brothers intense stare

"We...are going to Pennsylvania to find...my birth mother. Yay!" Klaus explains making Fives blood boil with rage. I sit up clenching my jaw and sticking my tongue in my cheek. To think I was enjoying myself only to get forced onto a mission however Five seems to be a lot more pissed off then me

"Excuse me?" Five says through greeted teeth as his glare intensifies

"I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry. I just needed somebody to come with me for emotional support!" Klaus tries to apologise but how he ended it only made Five get more angered. You scoff as you both are being used as emotional support

"Oh, emotional support,—" Five says as he gets interrupted

"Like a schnauzer!?" You yell. Throwing your hands in the air. Five grabs your thigh and blinks both of you to the front seat. With you on his lap. He wraps his hands around his waist. He's to furious to realise his actions as you are as red as a tomato unable to say another word

"I knew you wouldn't of come if I told you, so what was I supposed to do?" Klaus tries to explain which gets you annoyed

"You're goddamn right we wouldn't of come, Klaus. You know why? Because I'M suppose to be retired" Five yells as sits up in his seat which makes you move a bit. You feel his bones stiffen but both of you ignore it as you both was now to focused and angered by Klaus lying

"I know!" Klaus tries to understand

"This is suppose to be a carefree road trip" Five yells again throwing his hands in the air and landing on your inner thigh which makes your eyes widen as he does not remove his hands

"Well, it still can be, babe" Klaus tries to lighten the mood. You roll your eyes and look out the window to see a sign saying

"Ball Of Twine"
"Next Left"

"Ball Of Twine? Klaus, Turn!" You shout as you turn to Klaus. You move on Fives lap once again hearing a grunt from him but again you ignore it as you grab the wheel trying to turn it to the left
"BALL OF TWINE! TURN!" You shout again

"What?! Y/n! Y/N!" Klaus shouts trying to take back control of the wheel. Five sits back with his head thrown back and his eyes closed. Most likely because he was annoyed of the situation

"IT'S ONE OF THE BEST ONES! COME ON!" You scream out. You look at Klaus's hand and stop his blood from coming to his hands. His hands immediately flop off the wheel and you take full control. You turn back to the road turning the wheel more

"Y/N! WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Klaus screams as he tries to get his hands to cooperate with him

"I DON'T CARE! LETS GO!" You yell back
"YOU KNOW WHAT!? NO TWINE, NO BIRTH MOTHER!" You shout as you successfully manage to turn the car left almost crashing into two cars one blue and other red.

Finally managed to post another chapter of "Sarcastic Sparrow" I just want to say thank you for 2k readers thats just insane. After this book is done should I consider making another one with all the seasons in?
