You're giving up??

You wake up in a very uncomfortable position...you're sat up but your front is leaning on something...or someone. You slowly flutter your eyes open to see that your husband. Five Hargreeves is holding you on his back as he leans on the railway. You kiss his neck softly to let him know you're awake

"What happened?" You whisper quietly.

"The worlds still ending..." Five sighs out before slowly placing you down on the floor but still keeps his hands around your waist. You squint your eyes hearing the annoying sound of Diego and Ben arguing in there own native language

"Can you shut them up, my head is killing me" You groan falling into Fives chest. Five chuckles

"Hey! You guys done? The universe is disappearing outside. So you can keep rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic if it makes you feel better. But the fact remains that we are too late" Five interrupts the two bickering. He walks over to the others while holding your hand to keep you stable. You let go of Fives hand and walk over to the rocking horse ride and sit on it. You lean back because the horse is right next to the railing so you can use that for support. Diego and Ben scoff before walking away from each other

"Five, come on" Luther laughs awkwardly

"It's over, Luther. We failed." Five states

"Come on. It's can't be over over" Viktor says sitting up

"Yeah, come on, Five. We gotta figure this out, man" Diego says raising his voice a little as he stands beside you leaning on the railing

"Okay. How about we take a step back? Look at the big picture here. Most of us have spent the last 28 days trying to stop the world from ending. What exactly have we accomplished?" Five questions everyone but everyone stays quiet for a bit trying to think about what they've achieved

"Well, we made some friends along the way" Luther says trying to bring up the mood making Sloane smile

"Incorrect! You know what we've done? Nothing. We made things worse every single time." Five says through gritted teeth

"Amen to that" Allison mumbles

"Look, when I went to the commission, I had a conversation with my 100-year-old self. And my last words were 'don't save the world'" Five explains

"Don't save the world?" Viktor questions

"Don't save the world" Five repeats

"That's the stupidest thing i've ever heard" Diego comments. You kick the back of his knee and he groans as he falls to the ground kneeling.

"Shut up" You hiss to Diego

"Is it? Well, whatever we're doing it's not working. All we ever do is save the world for a day, pat ourselves on the back, and then everything goes to shit again" Luther complains

"Yeah, maybe we're the problem" Viktor mumbles quietly

"Oh, Yeah. Us." Allison scoffs making Viktor roll his eyes and shake his head at his sisters childish behaviour

"So, wait. Your big plan is...no plan" Lila questions to confirm what Five is saying

"Exactly! Conscientious objection. Why the hell not? We've tried everything else. Look, maybe this is just what the universe needs. I say, embrace the apocalypse. See what's on the other side." Five exclaims with his hands in his pockets
