DEFINITION
Caedsexual (or caedosexual) is an orientation on the asexual spectrum, defined as someone who feels that they were allosexual at one point, but that it has been taken or "cut away" from them due to past trauma.
I mentioned this last chapter: You do not choose to become asexual or gay or straight.
Becoming asexual due to trauma is not something I would describe as actively choosing, as it was due to trauma, a thing that can be incredibly unpredictable and life altering. Neither the trauma nor their response were things they likely actively and consciously chose to have. You cannot actively control who you are attracted to or not; but trauma can change one's life drastically. It can steal parts of you away.
They are not individuals who just randomly decided to call themselves asexual despite being completely allosexual. This is not a thing they could really actively control.
Some once upon a time could have been allo, or on the spectrum, but something happened that changed their lives forever, and that was not a choice. Trauma itself is not a disorder. Trauma is described as an emotional response to a terrible event, and it can change one's life forever and permanently. It has the ability to take.
The romantic counterpart to caedsexual is caedromantic.
