Jade Hendersons POV
10:03pm, monday
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*

"weak!" i scoff, after taking what must've been my 6th shot.

"hey, hey. maybe you should slow down there." Eddie chuckled, with a slightly concerned look on his face.

"someone's bossy." i say, rolling my eyes jokingly.

we have a few more drinks, and talked for a while before getting up & joining a pool game on the other side of the bar. i lean up on the pool table next to Eddie, watching him play.

he looks over at me, noticing i'm tired.
"why don't we check into one of the nearby motels sweetheart?" he asks innocently, lightly putting a hand on my shoulder.

"yeahh, sure!" i say, not realizing that i'm slurring my words.

"i'll ask the bartender where the nearest is. hold tight." he adds before walking away.

i go up to a random drunk, sitting at the bar.
"heyy! do you know where a uh." i blank.

"a what, darlin?" the man asks me in a thick country accent.

"a phone. a phone?" i tell him semi confidently.

he points me to a pay phone, and i walk over.
and before i know it, i'm dialing Billy's phone number. shit, it's ringing.

he picks up..

"hello?" he says in an agitated tone, with a raspy, tired voice.
i obviously woke him up.

"Billy. hi!" i say.

"Jade. where the hell have you been?" he asks aggressively.

"i'm in.. Georgia." i tell him.

silence.

-

"do you want me to come get you?" he asks in an annoyed tone, after what felt like hours.

"no. it's fine." i tell him.

"just. be carful." he replies with a sympathetic tone in his voice.

i nod. "i will be. promise."

yet again,
silence.
but a different kind.
there's nothing but the sound of him breathing on the other line.
it was like every other voice around me went completely silent.
it was the kind of moment where you felt the overwhelming urge to blurt out exactly how you feel, like your in a romcom.

but at last,
the moment always ends.

"ready?" Eddie asks me, dangling his car keys.

"hey, uh. i gotta go." i tell Billy before abruptly hanging up the phone.

-

we walk into the closest motel, leaving Eddie's van in the bar parking lot.

2.3 stars, fancy!

we walk up to the check in desk.
sitting there, is a later middle aged woman.
she has short raven hair & round hazel eyes.

"4 seasons, how can i help you." she says in a monotone voice.

"uh we'd like a room." Eddie replies tiredly.

"one bed?" she asks, i assume not thinking.

"two." Eddie says.

"there's only a 1 bedroom available." she adds.

"are you sure?" he questions.

the woman nods.

"whatever, 1 bed is fine." i blurt out, just wanting to lay down.

Eddie looks over at me, "are you sure?" he mouths.

i nod at him.

-

it's now around 2am, and we walk into our shitty motel room.

"you sure this isn't the ritz, munson?" i tease him.

"so, should i assume i'm sleeping on the floor?" he asks dodging my smart remark.

i flash him a cocky smile, before getting an overwhelming sick feeling.
i run to the bathroom, lifting up the toilet seat before puking.

"you alright?" Eddie asks.

"divine." i say out of breath.

-

after throwing on an old pair of button up pajamas (the only pair i brought), i walk back into the main room & lay down in bed

after throwing on an old pair of button up pajamas (the only pair i brought), i walk back into the main room & lay down in bed.

"first hangover?" Eddie teases.

i chuckle. "i've never gotten more than a migraine! i mean i've puked once or twice, but not for an hour & a half!"

"god, you're a rookie!" he says.

"yeah yeah." i add.

quiet.

"Eddie?" i say.

"yeah?" he replies.

"i don't want to be alone.." i manage to spit out.

he pauses.

"okay.." he says, sitting up.

he gets up off the ground, and lays down next to me on top of the covers.
we stay like that for a moment.

"you can get under." i lightly say.

"yeah. okay." he laughs.

i could get used to this..
