Finally, the ninja made it back to their hidden cove where Dr. Julien was waiting. When he saw them coming out of the jungle, he rushed towards them, a fearful expression on his face.
"What was that sound? The horns?" Dr. Julien asked.
"The Celestial Clock has reached zero. Garmadon's ultimate weapon is now operational and the Final Battle between good and evil has all but begun," Wu stated.
"Now Lloyd must face his father," Misako added, sadly. Lloyd flinched, shoulders hunching as he pressed further against [M/n].
"But where's Nya?"
"She's been taken by the Overlord, but we'll get her back. At the moment, there are bigger things at stake, including all of Ninjago itself," Wu explained. Dr. Julien looked horrified, paling dramatically.
"Who cares about Ninjago? Nya was my—uh, my...you know," Jay choked out, tears brimming in his electric eyes.
"And she's my sister. I know her being captured is tough, but she's tougher. Tougher than most of us. We'll see her again," Kai stated, as [M/n] nodded in agreement. [M/n] reached over and clasped a hand over Jay's shoulder in comfort.
"Lloyd, your focus gives strength to invoking the power of the Golden Dragon. You cannot lose faith now. Everything rests on your shoulders."
"But Sensei, you saw what happened when I tried to face my father. I-I froze. I can't fight him," Lloyd said.
"You must. It is written in the scrolls," Wu elaborated. [M/n] really wished he could smack Wu for putting all the pressure on Lloyd.
"Remember, your father is just as scared," Misako reminded Lloyd.
"Then the battle will be decided by who is willing to fight."
Kai was quick to reassure Lloyd, when he saw the despondant look on his face.
"You won't be alone. I'll be right behind you. You have my Fire."
"You have my Earth."
"And my Ice."
"And Lightning."
"And you have my Aether. '^Kai i zoí mou.'
"We're all in this together, kid," Cole stated, grinning. Lloyd glanced to [M/n], who looked proud and was sending so many warm emotions through their bond.
"What are we waiting for? Let's suit up."
Everyone cleaned themselves and their GI's as quick as they could, then sharpened their weapons. They all gathered in front of the Bounty, prepared to face Garmadon and the Overlord. "I'm ready."
Lloyd led them quickly, and silently, through the Jungle to Garmadons camp. As they approached [M/n] noticed how quiet it was, and immediatley thought it was suspicious.
"Get down, now," Lloyd ordered. They all ducked behind a fallen tree to stay out of sight of any sentries posted.
"They won't know what hit them," Kai stated.
"Time to chop wood," Jay agreed. [M/n]'s vision shifted to Mátaithéra, and what he saw, or didn't see, shocked him. Before he could warn the others, they were jumping over the log and charging.
"Ninja, go!" They broke down the gate, as [M/n] led Dr. Julien down, hands resting on his Tessens. He scanned the camp but not a single soldier had been left behind.
"Uh, where the heck is everybody?" Jay asked, looking around.
"Ugh, and here I was all ready to release the thunder," Cole complained.
