"So how did your interview go?" Owen asked, Luna still hadn't made a decision in her head but  in her heart she had.

"It went great but I have a question," Luna asked.

"Yeah go ahead, unless this is about Avery and I can't discuss" Hunt replied.

"This isn't about Avery, Do you have any Fetal surgeons in this hospital?" Luna said adjusting the way she was sitting in the seat.

"Not that I can think of, I thought you wanted to be a Neuro and Peds surgeon" Owen answered back.

"I do want to be a Peds surgeon, but I was only wanting to do Neuro for Derek not because I wanted to. I want to save babies, and I want to make sure that what happened to me doesn't happen to any other woman. I want to become double board certified in Fetal and Peds, and I know Boards are literally in a week but I am going to pass them because I want to do it. And if you can't offer me that residency then I have my answer but I want to do this for people like me who are too scared to become a mum because of what happened years ago. So I need to do this" Luna said standing up.

"We don't have any Fetal surgeons but once you have completed your residency, I will make a job for you back here. Luna, you have come a long way since we served together but you still have that fight and I will make sure you can teach and operate no matter where you are" Hunt said, Luna finally felt at peace.

"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you," Luna said jumping up and down.

"So Hopkins?" Owen asked.

"Yeah, I would love to stay and chat but I've got to go study," Luna said turning to leave the room.

"And Shepherd, you will be missed," Hunt said looking at Luna, his eyes full of pride.

"LUNA" Derek shouted coming into Luna's apartment.

"What?" Luna said walking out of her room.

"You are leaving Seattle and didn't tell me? Not to mention you aren't doing Neuro anymore" Derek said standing in the hallway.

"How did you find out?" Luna asked confused that he found out so quickly.

"Hunt told me, We had a meeting about residents. Luna, once again you are running away. Just because Jackson is leaving doesn't mean you have to. You have Me, Mark, Callie, and Arizona. Then you have Zola and Sofia here. Isn't that enough?" Derek shouted, his voice echoing through her apartment.

"Derek this isn't about Jackson or any of what you guys want this is about what I want for once in my life. Hopkins wants me, they want me. Not you or my last name or anything. They want me! And I want to do Peds and Fetal. Imagine the children and mothers I can save. I want to make myself proud and I would be staying because I'm comfortable not because I want to. You can hate me whatever but don't ever shout at me or walk into my apartment because I chose to do what I want. So please leave before I or you say something we both regret" Luna said opening the door for him to walk out of.

"You're Leaving?" Jackson said standing at the entrance to his bedroom.

"Don't act stupid I know you're leaving too" Luna said before slamming her door.

Luna never realised how much she had grown fond of everyone in Seattle and the little home she had made for herself. But that doesn't mean that other people get to choose her life for her.
