Xiao x Aether Oneshots

Dang it

I walk towards the group of boys with a small smile. Leaning against the wall was a dark haired male with gold colored eyes and a menacing aura about him. Despite what other people see or think, he is nice and caring. That may also be me being a bit petty because he is my boyfriend.

I walk to his side and he greets me with a subtle smile, a kiss on the cheek, and his arm immediately wrapping around my waist. I lay my head on his shoulder and glance down at his phone screen as he replies to a few texts and scrolls through his social media.

"Hey Xiao, did you hear about that transfer student that's supposed to be arriving today? I heard he's a bit of a troublemaker." The boy, Chongyun, stated.

"Hmm." He hums boredly. "As long as he understands the rules then we'll be fine."

I lift my head from his shoulder and look towards the school entrance at the time a strange vehicle shows up. I nudge Xiao gently in the side and he looks in that direction as well. With his curiosity peaked, we walk towards the forming group of kids and wait for the attraction to show itself.

All at once, there is a shout of admiration and shock from the girls as they start swooning over the new kid.

"This is boring." Xiao mumbles. I sigh and walk to class with him. On the way, he stops by my first hour class. "See you in a few hours."

"Okay!" I smile and give him a hug before he leaves.

I watch his retreating figure until he disappears from sight. I walk into my class and take a seat in my usual spot and wait for class to begin.

"Good morning class, I hope you all got a good night's rest." Mrs. Jean,our teacher, greets. She is met with some grumbles while others just nod. "Wow, lively this morning aren't we? Anyway, we have a new student joining us. Please make him feel welcome." She smiles at the doorway as a male with reddish hair walks in with a mischievous smirk.

"Hi! My name is Childe!" He exclaims happily.

"We're delighted to have you, Childe. Now, if you take a seat next to Aether, he can show you the ropes and get you started." At this, the class starts whispering to each other in shock.

"Um, who's Aether?" He asks, scanning the room slowly.

"Oh, he's in the back. Aether, if you'll raise your hand."

I do as she asks and offer a polite smile to the boy as he takes the seat next to mine.

"Now, if you will turn to page 306 in your books, we will get started." She turns to the board and starts writing down notes as I copy what she does.

"Um, what book is she talking about?" Childe asks.

"The one under your desk." I reply.

I watch him from the corner of my eye. He opens his book to the correct page and glances over the information before leaning back in his chair. I ignored him after that.

Well, as much as I could when he was staring at me the whole time.

When the bell rings, I pack up my stuff and start towards the door when he calls my name.

"Hey, could you possibly show me to my next class? I don't know where I'm going."

"Um, yeah, what class is it?"

"History with Diluc."

I groan internally, not liking the thought of sharing my first two classes of the day with this guy.

"Yeah, I have him as well." I offer a forced smile and head in the direction of the history classes. He follows.
