"Bye mom" I say as I get down the car
"Bye my baby" she waves
"What about me?" Arnold fake whines
I chuckle at how he's acting
"Okay. Bye sweetheart!" Mom shouts and that causes the other students to look at us
And I burst out with laughter, while Arnold stood there surprised looking at mom with that look that says what-the-heck-was-that.
"Don't look at me like that. You wanted me to say bye to you too" mom winked
Arnold just rolled his eyes and said "Bye mother"
"Let's go Arnold we'll be late" I say
"Yeah, says the girl that was laughing at me a few minutes ago" he said with a fake smile
"Stay here" I said rolling my eyes and left without him
"WAIT" he shouted
But I continued to go without him

"How was your weekend?" I ask the girls
"It was cool" Alexa replies
"Normal as usual. What about you?" Lia replies
"A lot happened" I say
"I'm ready for this story" Lia says while rubbing her palms together
"Me too" Alexa says
"So, Charmaine came for the weekend and Arnold took his chance and told her he likes her-"
"Oh my goodness! Are they a couple?" Lia asked
"No. They aren't yet ready and Charmaine doesn't want to take risks, if you know what I mean" I say
"I get you" Alexa replies and Lia nods
"-another mysterious thing is that I saw Jayden at the park where I and my family went to spend the time. When he saw me he shed a tear and left without greeting me" I said and took a sip of my orange juice.
"Ehm that's unexplainable" Alexa says
"Atleast you get my poi--" I didn't finish my sentence because Lia beat me to it
"It's actually explainable" she says
I and Alexa look at her dumbfounded
"You guys are square minded" she slaps her forehead
I roll my eyes and say "Jesus" three times to cool down and avoid saying something I will regret later.
"Why do you say so?" Alexa questions
"This is why I say you guys are square min--" I didn't let her finish by standing up from my seat.
She is really getting on my nerves and I think my face is as red as a tomato because I'm angry.
She then, by miracle, got a hold of my wrist.
"Lia, leave my wrist alone!" I say in a stern voice
"Okay chill. I'll tell you if you sit down, because you're already causing a scene!" She says in a stern voice of her own as well
I look around the cafeteria and I see that she wasn't lying one bit.
My eyes mistakenly fell on Jayden.
Oh he's here?
I guess
He looked at me as if he had a million things to tell me but couldn't.
