MIKAYLA DAVIS

I stare out the window, as the memories of the day jayden sneaked in my room make its way in my mind.

The day he brought me to his tree house was the beginning of our friendship on a deeper level.

He started opening up, although he didn't entirely open up that day, but he gave me a few clues.

The days I would get excited to go for english class just to see him.

But those words? Did he mean them?

You know what? Maybe I should just listen to Lia and forget about jayden.

Maybe jayden was just a temporary friendship.

I should just forget about him. He's no good.

Getting ready for church, I put on an off-white dress that goes over my knees. I match it with black slides.

_

Church is over, and Blake asked to grab a bite and hang out.

Can't lie, I missed Blake so very much. It feels like ages since I've talked to him or even hanged out.

"How has life been micky?" He sips on the soda he has before him

"Drama. Is the word to describe how my life has been these past weeks."

"Tell me all about it,"

"...so that's how I became the talk of the school at the moment." I finish off biting on the bacon, and cheese sandwich

"That's messed up." He looks at me with utter concern.

I simply roll my eyes

I'm tired of those looks. Everyone gives them to me. Makes me look like some vulnerable stray kid.

"Can you stop Blake,"

"Okay, fine. I'm just concerned."

"Yes, you can be concerned, but i plead you to remove the pity look that comes with it."

"Okay, baby girl," he raises his hands in surrender

"Here's my opinion, I agree with Arnold. Jayden is no good. I had that feeling from the day I met him."

I look at him, lowkey confused.

"So we judge people from their looks now?"

"No, no, no, I did not say that. What i mean is that he doesn't seem godly enough and good for you. You need a man who is christian, God-fearing, and honest, like me perhaps," With that, he looks down shyly chewing his food.

What does that even mean?

Maybe that was just a comparison, right?

Nope, i doubt. He likes you, and he's indirectly telling you micky

I highly doubt. Blake? Out of all people?

Well, I'm telling you the obvious

"Just saying." He completes

"Well, blake, Jesus didn't pitch up on earth for the holy or the God-fearing but for the sinners like him."

He looks up with his right brow lifted.

I lift a brow as well.

"Am I lying?"

"Okay, fine, enough about that jayden boy, let's talk of something else, micky,"
_

I have been buried in books the whole afternoon and it is six pm at the moment.

Arnold barely spends his time at home. I doubt he does his homework or anything.
