Chapter Sixty

"Kya hai.." Shehnaaz whined, burying her face in the pillow. "Sone de na Sidharth."

"Tu kitni aalsi ho gayi hai bey? Uth ja ab, merko shoot ke liye nikalna hai. Uthke nahi milunga aas-paas toh tu hi bharkegi." Sidharth said, shaking his little baby gently amid her quiet whines and sleepy shoves.

Shehnaaz pouted, scrunching her nose and opening her eyes slowly. Sidharth smiled at her and kissed her nose. "Good Morning Superstar."

Shehnaaz held the front of his shirt and tugged him close enough to herself so she could peck his lips. "Good Morning Mi Vida."

Sidharth smiled at her. "Aaj toh bahut acha din nikla hai, bina maange meri morning kiss mil gayi mujhe." He said teasingly, making Shehnaaz blush deeply in response.

"Uth ja ab chal, fresh ho. Add shoot ke liye bhi ready hona hai tujhe." Sidharth pulled her gently and led her out of bed.

"Aaj sach mein kuch alag hai din mein. Tu mujhse pehle jo uth gaya." Shehnaaz remarked.

Sidharth chuckled.

Shehnaaz made a face, "Has kya raha hai, kumbhkaran ki tarah sota rehta hai tu late tak. Aaj kaise uth gaya?" She asked.

"Shoot hai na jaan, isiliye." Sidharth explained

Shehnaaz smiled.

"Aaj ka plan kya hai?" Sidharth asked Shehnaaz, watching her choose an outfit for herself. "Lunch time pe shoot pe aa jaana free rahegi toh."

Shehnaaz shook her head. "Aaj nahi possible. Mahi di ke ghar ja rahi hoon, Jasmin, Kratika di aur mukku ke saath."

Sidharth nodded. "Late aa jaana yaar, terko apni life ke ek aur chimpanzee se milaana hai. Bahot time se peeche pada hai mere." Sidharth requested.

Shehnaaz chuckled. "Chimpanzee han?"

Sidharth shrugged playfully.

"Okay, I'll be there at around five or something." Shehnaaz said, "Can't be sure."

Sidharth nodded. "Perfect."

Shehnaaz knocked on the door of Samyukta's room, causing her to look up from the laptop. "Mami.."

She was carrying a tray with two tall glasses of Aam-ras perched atop it. "Chod laptop, aaja yeh aamras pi."

Samyukta's eyes lit up. "Aap banaye maami?"

"Teri mumma ne help ki. Mujhe nahi aata aamras banana." Shehnaaz confessed rather sheepishly, setting the tray on the table near Samyukta's bed.

Samyukta giggled. "I'm sure accha hi hoga."

Shehnaaz smiled back at her nervously. "Kya kar rahi hai tu?" Shehnaaz asked.

"Online window shopping." Samyukta exclaimed. "Khareedna nahi hai kucch, but shopping sites browse kar rahi hoon."

Shehnaaz hmm-ed, handing her the glass of Aam-Ras. "We have to go to Jay and Maahi's house today, you remember right?"

Samyukta nodded. "Of course, bas mein thode time mein ready hi hone ja rahi thi." She informed Shehnaaz. "Aapka ad shoot ho gaya."

Shehnaaz nodded. "Studio se hi aayi thi yahaan."

They both sipped on the sweet and refreshing drink for the next. Shehnaaz was wincing every few seconds, sipping on her own drink slowly. Samyukta sighed, rolling her eyes at the older of the two girls. "Meetha pasand nahi hai toh kyon mummy ka dil rakhne ke liye khaati ho?" She asked, taking the glass from Shehnaaz.
