Shehnaaz sat on the poolside, talking to Jay and Maahi over a skype call while Siddharth sat next to her, half engrossed in a conversation with Nik. Ridhi, Ashi, Fiza Preeti and the other girls sat across from SidNaaz looking through henna designs for Shehnaaz.

Maahi was in the final few days of her pregnancy and had been advised strictly against any traveling by her doctor. Quite understandably, both Maahi and Jay were upset over not being able to attend their friends' wedding, especially since they knew how much it had meant to Shehnaaz to see them at their engagement.

Both Siddharth and Shehnaaz had made it abundantly clear that they were not upset and that they understood the couple's situation.

"Doctor ne bola hai na, Maahi Di.. stress lena band karo aur mene aapko jo cocktail aur sangeet ke videos bheje hain woh dekho." Shehnaaz said sternly.

"We'll come back soon enough anyway, Maahi. Tu ghar aake mil lena na Shehnaaz se aur mujhse." Siddharth consoled her. Maahi nodded on the other end of the call and asked Shehnaaz what designs of Mehendi she had picked.

Shehnaaz pouted. "Mene nahi decide kia. Sab ladkiyan decide kar rahi hain mere liye. I'm not good at choosing stuff for myself." She confessed innocently.

Maahi cooed at her. "Preeti aur Neetu Di tere liye best designs hi select karenge, I'm pretty sure."

Shehnaaz smiled.

"Accha.. tu Siddharth ka pura naam likhegi haath pe, ya fir bas first letter?" Maahi asked excitedly.

'Surprise hai!"

"Aap kahan ja rahe ho?" Samyukta asked Siddharth, tugging at the sleeve of his kurta.

"Kaheen nahi. Kuch kaam tha?" Siddharth asked, confused.

Samyukta nodded, and pulled him along. "Aapka bhi toh mehendi ka shagun karna hai mama. Come with me. Nani, Dad and Kushal bhaiyya are waiting for you."

Siddharth sighed. "I thought woh sab raat ko hai."

"Raat ko maami ko mehendi lagaani start kiye toh kal early morning haldi karni hai, woh kaise karenge?"

Siddharth nodded. "That's fair. Shehnaaz kahan hai?"

"She's taking a shower. You get your part of the ritual done, so that your bride can start applying her mehendi at the earliest. Aapke haath ki chui mehendi ka hi toh rang chadhega aapki dulhan par." Samyukta explained.

Siddharth smiled.

"Are you nervous? Just two more days to go." Samyukta asked softly.

Siddharth shrugged, "I think so."

Samyukta sighed, watching her "maama" fondly. He was going to be married in less than sixty hours. Shehnaaz would become her "maami", this time legally as well emotionally.

"I'm so happy for you." Samyukta said quietly. "Lottery lag gayi hai aapki. Shehnaaz Kaur Gill ke pati ban-ne waale ho."

"Lottery toh definitely lagi hai." Siddharth let out a watery chuckle. "Magar Shehnaaz ki."
