Rachel goes under.

she awakens in a dark room. the lights switch on. this is candor headquarters. on the other side of the room is lauren, rachels sister who I met on visiting day, but she is no longer in amity colours; but in candor black and white, beside her are two adults, probably her mum and dad.

"i missed you guys" Rachel whispers and runs towards them, she stops dead and fumbles back. between her and her family is a glass wall. she reaches out to touch it, she starts banging on the glass

"MUM! DAD! LAUREN!" She screams, but they ignore her as if she is not their. she looks down and I notice she isn't wearing dauntless clothes; instead she wears, Erudite blue, amity red, abnegation grey and dauntless boots. Her hands are covered in dry blood.

"what?" she gasps. her father looks over frowning.

"all we ever wanted was to be proud of you" he says "but you let us down" Rachels mum and Lauren look over and shake their heads.

"you let us down Rachel, we don't appreciate people letting us down" lauren says. they all walk towards the glass very slowly

"you let us down" they repeat over and over again. "you know what happens to bad people" they reach for her but don't grab her because she wakes up. screaming and tears running down her face.

"its okay your alright" tobias says. "go back to the dorms, killian is there, calm down okay?"

"okay?" she wimpers. and walks out. tobias follows and comes back in with Alistair...

everyone has been through their first fear landscape:

killian's afraid of loosing his sister again

Rachel's afraid of letting her family down

Alistair is afraid of becoming factionless

Finn is afraid of killing Emy and Harry (people he cares about)

Emy is scared of her friends getting hurt and dying

Tess is afraid of drowing

Harry is afraid of heights

And Tommy is afraid of being crushed, but with tommy their is just 1 problem..........

Tommy is Divergent....

Tobias and I tell him to come to our apartment at midnights, well we tell him its Tobias's apartment. the initiates don't know that we are together yet, although the girls asked us on the night of capture the flag but we through them off.

midnight arrives and there is a faint knock on the door. tobias jumps up and walks over and lets tommy in.

"hi Tommy" I say he smiles "please sit down" he plops down on the other sofa, he looks only 14 in this light.

"whats this about" tommy says

tommy" tobias says "we know that you're divergent" tommy looks stunned

"what's a divergent?" he says

"tommy you're from erudite im pretty sure that wont work, of course you know what a divergent is" I say more harsh than I meant to, Tommy looks down

"yeah, I am" he says "whats gonna happen to me" he looks scared

"look we're going to keep you safe" tobias says !"but you have to do what we tell you" tommy nods "okay first, like you've probably been told, you cant tell anyone, and second you can manipulate the simulations anymore- you have to solve the problems like a dauntless would"

"what else?" tommy says

"erudite" I say coughing

"oh sorry- let me guess; hide my other faction abilities?"

"yeah" I say

"tris, four, can I ask you something?" he says

"sure, anything" I say

"are you two together?"

"what makes you think that?" tobias says

"those pictures over there" he points to Tobias's desk which has a picture of us kissing at the top of the hub, Uriah sneakily took that whilst we all went for our day off. and next to it is a picture of: Me, tobias, Christina, will, Uriah, marlene, lynn, zeke, shaunna, hector and tori sitting together in the pit, tobias has his arm around me.

"yes" I sigh "but don't tell anyone"

"okay, I think its adorable, im sure everyone would ship it" he laughs, his expression changes to more serios

"guys are you divergent?" he whispers

"look" tobias says "after you leave, this conversation never happened, you cant say anything about it, we protect you- you protect us, if anyone asks where you were you just went for a walk to get the simulations out of your head. got it?"

Tommy slowly nods "so are you?" he wispers, I look at tobias and he slowly nods

"tommy what were your results?" I ask

"Erudite, Abnegation and Dauntlless" he says

"really?" I ask

"yeah, why?"

"they were my results to" I smile at him he smiles back

"thanks" he says "for everything, you guys are the first people ive ever really trusted"

"no problem man" tobias says and gets up, tommy gets up and tobias hugs him, I get up and hug tommy as well and he leaves.

after he's gone I turn to tobias and set my hands on his shoulders

"you are amazing with kids" I say

"thanks just practicing for the future" he winks, I raise an eyebrow

"hey you watch it" I swat his arm "im still technically 7, I mean look at me"

"tris" he says raising my chin "number 1) im always looking at you. number 2) you are my 6, you always have been and always will be. I love you"

"i love you too"...
