It took some time to arrive at the Orvud District, but it's done. You got off the wagon with Hange, supporting her as she got off after you.
Levi was petting his horse's snout as a soldier went up to him.
Soldier: Please have your squad standing by at the hall. They're almost ready to begin the meeting.
Levi: We'll be right there. (Y/n), hand off Hange to them and get over here.
You went to the nearest soldiers who are caring for the horses.
(Y/n): Take her to medical.
You carefully handed Hange to them and before she left with them, she turned back to you.
Hange: Do you remember what to say during the brief?
(Y/n): Of course, I do.
She gave you a smile before being escorted out of the area. You turn back to see the Levi squad assembled and took your place next to him.
(Y/n): Hange is on her way to medical.
Levi: Good. Now then... Historia.
Historia looked up from the group and gave Levi her attention. Everyone, including you, were curious of why he called her out.
Levi: This is an order from Erwin. Once we finish off the Titan, seeing as you're the true successor to the throne: You'll become the Queen.
(Y/n): Wait a-
Sasha: Wait?! Queen Historia?! You're kidding right?!
Levi: The Coup d'état was successful, but the people won't follow military rule forever. We need to give them a heartful story, one where the rightful heir to the crown takes the throne back from the pretender.
Historia: Oh... I see.
She lowered her head as she said this and it made you feel sad. What Levi had said made sense to gain an ally that controls the people but at the same time it was someone that you wanted to live for themselves.
Connie raised his hand and spoke out.
Connie: Hey, uh. You heard what Historia was saying earlier, didn't you, Captain? Cause, well, it sounded to me like, maybe, in fighting against her dad, she finally broke off from that part of her life, you know? It's just like-
Levi: Like what?
Connie: Um, I-
Unable to come up with an proper explanation, Jean stepped forward.
Jean: Hey, Captain? What's Connie's trying to say is that Historia finally broke free from the Reiss family, and decided she's more than just a bloodline.
(Y/n): That's right. She's the only blessing that came from that family.
Jean: So, for us to force her into another role for that reason, I... I just don't think it's fair!
Historia: It's fine. If my next duty is to become a Queen. Then that's what I'll do.
The sudden words that came out of her mouth came as a surprise as you were bewildered and Jean gasped.
(Y/n): No way. Historia, you're your own person. You shouldn't become the Queen because you're told to!
Armin: But, Historia...
Historia: I appreciate your concern. But, whether this is forced on me, it's up for me to decide. And I've decided.
She stared at you as she said this and you wanted to say more to her but the look on her eyes shows a fierce determination. You stepped down from what you were going to say.
