Mikasa: I recognized this area.
You looked around and saw a bunch of trees and a small trail that was definitely man made.
Mikasa: I think... We came here to gather firewood.
You walked towards the trail that you observed near the trees while Eren, Armin and Mikasa were lost in nostalgia.
(Y/n): Yea... I'm assuming this is going to be headed towards Shiganshina. We need to stay alert.
You thought about the best course of action.
(Y/n): I don't know how far this trail goes and the sun will be up soon... I'll scout it out the best I can. Hold here. I'll go to Commander Erwin.
Grabbing the reins of your horse, you walk to Commander Erwin's position where he's with many of the veterans like Marlene, Dirk and Klaus.
(Y/n): Commander Erwin.
Erwin: What is it, (Y/n)?
(Y/n): We found a trail that possibly leads to Shiganshina. I don't know how far it goes and in my opinion I think the best course of action is to do some reconnaissance.
Erwin thought about what you said and nodded.
Erwin: Good choice of action. Marlene, Harold, join up with (Y/n). Dirk, go down the relay and halt the formation. Let Levi and Hange know what's going on.
The four of you saluted and Dirk got on his horse and rode with a lantern in his hand.
Marlene: Do you want to do this by horse or ODM gear, (Y/n)?
Harold: I'd say horses. We have to conserve fuel in the meantime.
(Y/n): Harold's right. We should go by horse but when we approach the Wall we can go from ODM gear from there.
The two nodded and the three of you set off.
-Intermission-
After an hour, the sun was rising so now you're able to see clearly. There were some hilltops that you spotted which you kept an eye for.
Harold was in the front, taking point, and Marlene was in the back, with you in the middle.
Harold: What do you think we'll find at Shiganshina?
(Y/n): I would assume defenses of some sorts but that would apply to regular people.
Marlene: What do you mean?
(Y/n): Well you already know about the Armored Titan and Colossal Titan that were infiltrating the military. But after losing Miche and his squad at Utgard Castle, there's another Titan.
Harold: From what I remember in the reports, it's known as the Beast Titan, right?
You remembered how Miche and the others were killed by the Beast Titan. A despicable creature.
(Y/n): Yeah. That bastard might be out there too. I'm pretty sure he can control Titans too.
Marlene: I miss them.
You nodded, agreeing with what she said. You kept scanning the hills for possible signs or clues of the enemies' whereabouts. You noticed an odd shape on one of the hill crests.
(Y/n): Hold up. I think a Titan is near.
Marlene and Harold stopped their horses and you pulled out your telescope. You looked through the lens and tried to get a better look.
(Y/n): What the hell...
The Titan is on all fours with what looks like a bunch of storage containers of sorts on its back.
