Water filled her lungs at a rapid rate. Her vision filled with blue as she stared out into the watery abyss. She could feel her life slowly slipping away from her as she let go of her sister's hand.
Her sister. Elena Gilbert. The innocent 17-year-old girl who didn't deserve to die.
Sol used all of her strength to turn her head. Her green eyes met her sister's doe-brown ones, which were struggling to stay open.
Sol could feel more water rushing in the car as the door opened. She watched in shock as a man pulled her sister out, their bodies disappearing from the water.
A small smile appeared on her face as she took in her last breath, her lungs now filled to the brim with water, as she closed her eyes taking her final breath.
