"Atsumu, you better watch your drinks."
"But I need alcohol confidence!"
[ Name] was confused as she walked into the room. The guys invited her over to celebrate passing and entering the Nationals. The smell of alcohol was strong in the house, so she supposed Shinsuke wasn't present. And her speculation seemed to be correct as she noticed he was nowhere to be seen.
"... Is Kita not coming?" She asked, curious. To be fair, the house gave off a feeling of fulfillment, though she couldn't really see anyone but Aran and Atsumu. She recalled Atsumu stating he needed alcohol confidence, making her question what was happening.
"Ah, sadly not. His grandma got sick so he hurried home to take care of her. He told me to tell you he said hi, though." Aran said as he tried to take the bottle of vodka from Atsumu who was ready to throw a tantrum.
"Hm... Alright. Where are the others?" [ Name] questioned, looking around.
"Oh, on the rooftop. They're keeping watch on when will the pizza arrive." Akagi hummed as he walked up to her, making her flinch, having not noticed him until he spoke.
"Well, if you don't need my help I'll go join them." She yawned, though Atsumu took her hand.
"Let's go together!" He said with a stupid smile, causing [ Name]'s heart to nearly leap out of her chest. The feeling of his warm, soft hands on hers, it was... Electrifying. She liked it.
Soon reaching the rooftop, Atsumu dragged her to the others. She saw Ren, Riseki, Gin and the others, giving a small, awkward wave.
"Oh, [ Name ], ya made it?" Osamu hummed, glancing in her direction. She gave a nod to confirm the obvious as Atsumu sat down and pulled her down with him. She really hoped the warmth of her face wasn't obvious, she would like nothing more than to disappear into thin air if someone were to point it out.
She sat there, quietly listening to the others talk. She was tired anyways, deciding not to indulge into the conversation much.
A bottle of vodka was nudged to her, making her glance at it and then at the person holding it. Akagi.
"C'monnn, you look bored outta your mind, let's chug a bit!" He offered with a dumb grin. One could easily tell he'd already drank a bit. Deciding not to be rude, she took the bottle, while Akagi got himself one as well.
She'd never really been one to drink a lot. Afterall, her parents never really let her. She was the good girl, straight A student, people liked her for the most part. If her parents were to fond out she'd been drinking, that would probably end with cigarette and drug tests, as well as a very possible pregnancy one. That's just how they were. Never trusting a word she said despite having almost never lied to them.
"Alright then, chugging time it is." She hummed, popping off the cap as she and Michinari linked arms. Was it a good idea to chug vodka on an empty stomach? Yea, definitely not but shw didn't care. She wouldn't be home tonight anyways.
The two brought the bottles to their lips the second Atsumu did the countdown. The others chanted a chain of "Chug, chug, chug!". The alcohol felt like fire in her throat but she managed to push through, she could go without breathing for a while anyways. Soon pulling away, holding up an empty bottle while Akagi's still had about 4 inches of liquor left in it.
"-Aaand [ Nickname] wins! Good job doll!" Osamu grinned. She felt proud of herself, she managed to win against someone despite rarely ever drinking.
"Guess I'm just legendary like that." She giggled, catching Suna's gaze.
The eye contact lasted for a few moments. It was Rintarou who broke it, glancing at the cigarette between his fingers as he flicked the ashes off.
She found herself wondering. How did she never see Rintarou smoke before? Or at least figure it out some other way. Like, catching him reek of cigarettes before practice or something of the like. She shook off the topic, deciding to focus on having fun. The alcohol was getting to her relatively quick after chugging it down so fast, especially on an empty stomach. She didn't feel hungry anyway.
