Quietly sneaking down the stairs, Rintarou picked up some money from the counter, cautiously looking around. It was around 5 in the morning, so he'd have to do his routine.

Suna never really got any sleep at home. He would stay up all night scrolling through social media or studying, before leaving before the sun would rise. Knowing better than to make any noise, he'd only pick up some money, dress up and leave. It has been like that since third year or his junior high.

Why'd he leave so early?

Well, he would never really tell anyone the real reason behind that. Looking at the bruise on his stomach, Rintarou sighed. This was jothing new, but he had practice, and he wasn't supposed to let anyone see the various cuts and bruises that decorated his body.

Walking out of the house, Rintarou made sure to close the door as quietly as possible before pludging in his earbuds and taking off to the train station. Pausing as he was about to shuffle through his playlist, he sighed once he heard glass shattering in his house.

Getting onto the train, Suna took a seat by the window, placing his bag on the seat beside him. He let his eyelids shut down. He required rest, so he took any opportunity he could to let his body relax and rest on anything nearby as he'd dose off into a light and fragile slumber.

He just let himself rest until he'd finally arrive to school, hoping his mind stays blank from all his problems...

"Oiii, Sunarin, you early again?" Atsumu beamed as he stepped into the gym. Yeah, true that. Suna has been sitting there for almost two hours, laying his head on his bag in hopes to get some sleep. Suna sighed as he let himself sit up, not happy that he had just been woken up.

"Eh? You cold again, Suna? You sure you don't have a fever or somethin'? You are a bit paler too. Plus your eyeba-" "Oi, I know I look bad, you don't gotta point it out, y'know. And I don't know, I don't believe I'm sick." Suna cut him off, grunting. "I do have this shitty hesdache though." He mumbled.

"Oof for you then, you shall go to the nurse before Kita-san no-" He was interrupted by Kita who walked in, jacket over his shoulders.

"Before I what?" He said coldly as he looked at his teammates in suspicion. His eyes locked on Rintarou as he walked closer to him. "Rintarou, are you feeling unwell? Shall I get you to the nurse?" He hummed out, causing Suna to sigh.

"It's just a headache, guess I didn't get enough sleep." Rintarou answered, watching Shinsuke ramble through his bag before pulling out a thermometer.

"...Here. If you have a fever, I'm sending you to the nurse." Said the captain, handing the said thermometer to the middle blocker who sighed. "Fine."

Waiting for the others to arrive and for the thermometer to calculate Suna's body temperature, Kita sat by the middle blocker. Rintarou noticed the captain staring at him, before he felt the other's hand on his forehead.

"You are burning up..." Sighed Kita. True that, his temperature was 39,8° C. He could feel Kita's eyes boring into him...

"Alright. Come on, Rintarou. Aran said he needs some help and the twins went to do god knows what. I'll see if I know anyone trustable to escort you." Said the blankfaced captain, and Suna just nodded obediently.

Reaching about the front of the school, Kita noticed a certain [ Hair color ] head and waved her over, to which she came smiling. They were close friends, to say the least.

" [ Name ], may you please escort Suna to the nurse's office? He's got a fever." He requested. The girl flinched, she wasn't fond of Rintarou... At all.

But then again, she owed Kita a lot. She really did. So she nodded, carefully going to Suna's side.

"Great. Thank you, [ Nickname ], I hope it's not much trouble for you." Shinsuke said with a gentle smile, and [ Name ] just waved him off. "No worries, Shinsuke. I'll get going now. Do you need me to stay with him until class starts?" She pressured herself.

"If it's not much of a problem. He isn't really himself when sick, ya know?" He chuckled, and she just nodded before the captain walked off.

The walk to the nurse's office was quite awkward. [ Name ] would've attempted to strike up a conversation, if it were someone else, that is. But this... This was Suna we're on about. THE Suna Rintarou. The one who kept messing around with her.

She kept going on and on about her thoughts until she felt a weight press onto her from behind, making her yelp. "S-Suna?" She meekly said, looking over her shoulder. Suna had just slumped onto her without a care in the world, leaving her heart racing. It was so... Weird!

"[ Name ]-channn..." Suna mumbled. Out of slight concern, she pressed her hand onto his forehead. She was certain his temperature had just gone up. He was sweating as well...

[ Last name ] hurried to the nurse's office, Suna's arm over her shoulders just to gain balance as they walked. Knocking a few times, the [ Hair color ] head groaned before just going in. This shall be considered an emergency, should it not now?

Going to lay Suna on one of the beds, she sighed as the weight was removed from her shoulders... Quite literally. She looked down at the middle blocker and unzipped his jacket, leaving it on the nearby chair. Soon enough, Rintarou stopped sweating as much, and fell into a deep slumber.

Heading over to the nurse's desk, she wrote a note informing that she had an emergency and had to bring the said middle blocker in. Leaving the note on the table where it would be noticeable, she went to sit by the bed Rintarou was on. Sighing as she observed his sleeping form, she pulled her phone out and went to just scroll through social media.

Waiting for him to finally come to it.
