It was that moment, i knew , i messed up , my dad always hated seeing me with boys , since it was only me and him , he was always being overprotective of me

But he never forbid me from dating , he did forbid touching and getting intimate, not that i was interested in that anyway

I hope he didn't see how close Chase and i were

" dad! Hey , you're home !" I said nervously as i greeted him

He looked at me furiously forcing a smile on his face , i smiled back at him pretending to know nothing

" is this the friend you told me about ? " he asked , grinding his teeth

" oh yes! Dad , this is Chase , Chase this is my father , Carl Pierce " I introduced the two men to each other

" nice to meet you mr. Pierce " Chase introduced himself as he stretched out his hand , my dad took it and they shake

" please , come inside " my dad suggested and I immediately refused to let Chase enter

" actually, Chase is busy so -" i spoke right before i was cut

" No I'm not " he simply said

" yes..you are " i turned to Chase and whispered , making sure my dad didn't hear

" perfect , let's get in then " my dad said again and Chase followed

He was taunting me

My dad suggested making tea and we agreed

" Romano ? Mm where have i heard this name before  ? " my dad wondered as we all sat in the living room and i got more nervous, could he know anything about the Romano mafia?

" the Romano clubs " Chase suddenly said

" oh! Right ! That one " my dad stated and i looked at him shocked

" you go to clubs!!!?" I said in a shocking tone

" oh no no sweetie , there was this employee from the Romano club who came to the bank and asked for a loan , that's how i know " my dad told me and i let out a relief sigh

" so how did you two met ?" My father suddenly asked again and i almost chocked on my cup of tea , i noticed Chase silently laughing at me

How the hell am i gonna answer to that ?

" the cafe she works for , months ago " Chase simply replied

" oh ... so you've been seeing each other for months ? My dad asked as he rose his eyebrow

When i was about to speak , Chase was ahead of me again ; " no , this is the first time , since she was on that school trip " Chase told my dad and he seemed convinced

Time passed as my dad and Chase talked endlessly about multiple topics , football , boxing even movies , surprisingly they got along very well , i almost felt like an outsider

" sweetie , can you bring me my pills they're in my room " my dad said to me and i was startled, i nervously nodded before getting up and head upstairs
