As the dawn roared with thunder and the heavy rain continues to pour cats and dogs outside, all in our four's slumber; they all awoke to a fading yet brain-splitting migraine.

Adam felt something slithering on his temples as his eyes adjusted to the ceiling above him, his vision clearing slowly as he forced himself to sit up from the comfort of his sheets. The moment Adam tried to brush his hair to the back, he felt tiny fangs gently nibbling his fingers which was enough to jolt him awake; causing him to pull back his hand.

He stared at his hands, turning them around to inspect the tiny dots around his fingers and his palm before his alarm rang; Turning towards the noise, Adam noticed a yellow post-it note attached to the alarm clock and he managed to read its' message with ease;
"Cover your mirror when you take a shower. - Mom"

Adam furrowed his brows at the words yet he obliged; standing up to grab two towels, one for the mirror and the other for himself. The boy questions as to why his mother had advised him to cover his mirror, how could he read in the dark and whether there's bugs in his hair.

Stepping into the bathroom whilst turning the light switch on in the process, Adam accidentally took one look in the mirror...

Vivian held back a scream the moment she had accidentally bit the insides of her cheek, cursing in hums as she stomped on her floor. The moment she unclenched her jaw, her tongue had a familiar, metallic taste to it which caused the girl to open her eyes widely, both out of fear and shock.

The girl quickly grabbed her towel and ran to the bathroom, holding onto the sides of the sink as she spat to test her suspicions, that were then proven to be true;
On the white bowl of the sink was her saliva mixed with droplets of blood, she starts to panic at the small sight as she asks herself, "How hard did i even bit myself?"

She looked at her hands and gasped silently at how pale her skin was, noticing the red and blue veins trailing up her wrist and down her arm. She took her hands back and inspected them from front to back. After taking in a deep, shaky breath, Vivian shuts her eyes closed as she looks up to the mirror, opening one eyelid at a time.

Her jaw drops as Vivian kept her gaze at the girl in the mirror, who looked nothing like her; pale skin, her deep brown eyes now a lighter, redder shade of russet and her sharp fangs that had replaced her short canines.
However, before she could even continue to stare, her reflection begun to fade away...

Ivory wonders as to how her nails could somehow change its sharpness however she wants; she stared at her right hand as her left held a hairdryer, waving it around her hair.
She curled her fingers and flexed, watching as her nails turned from short and dull to long and sharp to short again; the girl had found its' transitions quite satisfying.

She then turned off the hairdryer and her nose immediately took in a delicious whiff.
"Omelette fried rice!" Ivory smiled as she excitedly got up from her bed, but just as she was about to open her door, she stopped in her tracks when she realized; the kitchen is downstairs and a bit further from where her room is. How on earth could she smell from afar?

"..Maybe mom turned the fan on and the smell somehow got here?" Her smile drops to confusion, "But that wouldn't make sense!"

She ran to her bathroom and stared at her reflection, nothing there to answer her wonder. After a few more touch-ups to her hair, she took a deep breath and exhaled, the smell of the delicious breakfast still lingering in her nose as it made her stomach grumble.
"Maybe i'll ask mom about it.." She nods, taking her backpack before she stepped out of her room...

Deirdre was still singing the moment she left her shower, drying and wrapping her body with a towel before she went to brush her teeth. Her hand went to pick up the toothpaste as her gaze moved up to the mirror.

She backed away from her reflection when she noticed the change in her eye color, "Okay," Deirdre's eyes widened, leaning closer towards her reflection, "What the hell, How the hell-".
Her eyes were sapphire blue, a color that's way, way lighter than brown.
As Deirdre felt a nervous tug in her chest, she hears her father call her from the bathroom door, "Deirdre? Is everything okay?"

"Y-yeah!" The girl nodded quickly, grabbing her toothpaste and toothbrush, "Just about to brush my teeth!"

"Well don't take too long!" Her father reminds her, chuckling as the girl simply hums in reply, growing more and more frantic when she noticed the small scales that are slightly lighter than her skin color on her arm as she quickly finishes her morning routine.

After she was done running around her room; putting on her school uniform, her backpack and her school files, Deirdre grabbed a jacket and a pair of sunglasses before she left her room, putting both of them on to join her family at breakfast, ignoring the bewildered looks from her siblings as well as knowing glances from her parents, who simply sighed quietly at their daughter...
