After the boy took his mask off, he held onto it with one arm and a kind smile appeared on his face as he introduced himself, "I'm Xavier, Xavier Thorpe. And you are..?"

Speechless, the girl takes a quick breath before taking her mask off at a steady pace. The moment their eyes meet, Xavier could feel his heart tying itself into a knot as he thought to himself; "The girl i drew this morning.. is also the girl who had beaten me in fence.."

"Deirdre," She replies, smiling warmly at him, "Deirdre Dèlareux."

"Well, i.. uh-" Xavier rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as he starts, "Didn't expect to meet you here-"
As she nods in agreement, Deirdre chuckles, "Neither did i."

As the two continued to stare at each other in silence, Vivian calls for Deirdre, snapping her out of her trance once more. She runs towards the short girl and congratulated her with a hug, with him waiting for Vivian to finish their conversation so he could continue his talk with Deirdre.

When he realised that their chat is nowhere near finish, Xavier then went in between them, clearing his throat to alert the two as they both turned to him. As Vivian's smile dropped, she asked him as she crosses her arms, "Um, do you mind?"

"Oh no- no, sorry-" Xavier held his hands up defensively backing away from them until Deirdre suddenly grabbed his wrist, keeping him close to them as she introduced the two to each other,
"Um- Vi, this is Xavier. Xavier, this is Vivian. She and I used to go to the same school together before we moved here."

Vivian glanced at the way she held his wrist, looking up at them with a hum and a nod. "Yeah- It's a pleasure to meet you, Xavier."

"I could say the same to you." the boy nods at Vivian before she turned back to her friend with a question, "Anyway- Dee, what's your next class?"

"Oh, um- Magic Arts!" the girl replies, subconciously tightening her grip on Xavier's wrist excitedly. Deirdre's answer would've been enough to put a smile on his face as it was his next class as well, but the way she held his wrist may have given his stomach a fluttery feeling.

"Aish, i've Chemistry after this- Can you believe that?" Vivian groans, "We still gotta go through the same boring subjects."

"The teachers here must've saw your reputation in Televale Gravnite's 'prestigious' class" Deirdre laughs, to which her friend simply rolls her eyes as the referee, who apparently was also the coach, called Deirdre and Xavier over. The short girl turned towards Vivian as she sighs out a question; "So- see you after class?"

"Yeah, have fun with him." Vivian smirks, giving Deirdre a small nudge on her arm as walks by them. Deirdre just chuckles at her before her eyes moved down, finally noticing the way she was holding onto him and quickly letting go, "Ah- sorry! i didn't mean to do that-"

"It's fine," Xavier grins, shaking his head subtly as he reassures her, "You did that because you didn't want me to go, plus you get to introduce me to your friend."

"Yes-" The girl nods, a sheepish smile on her face as she then gestures towards the coach, "Um, shall we..?"

"We shall."

And with that, the two made their way to the coach, preparing for what he's called them for. However, another thing that they should've prepared for is the set of jealous eyes that had been staring daggers at them from afar.

After leaving the hall back in her uniform, the girl was walking through a hallway when a girl stood in her way, a subtle, forced smile on her face as she speaks; "Hi!"

Catching the girl off-guard, Deirdre just gave the girl a bewildered smile as she answers, "Um- hey! Bianca Barclay, right?"

"Oh- just call me Bianca!" The girl giggles, "And you must be Deirdre from Fencing class!"

"Yeah, that's me! so um- do you have Magic Arts too?"

"Actually, no." Bianca denies as her smile drops into a sour look, "I see how you are with Xavier."

"Pardon?"

"Don't act stupid with me, I know that you're seeing him, especially with how you held his arm earlier."

"Look," Deirdre sighs, gripping onto her books as she begins to feel a bit ticked off from Bianca's accusation, "i don't know what you're thinking; but that was an accident."

"An accident? Really?" Bianca dragged her words, crossing her arms as she glanced the girl up and down, "You really think i'm that dumb?"

"Bianca, i didn't say that. I just didn't know that you've a thing for him, Hell- we literally just met today!"

The dark skinned girl flared her nostrils, clenching her jaw as she snarled at Deirdre, "Fine, i believe you. But i better not see you with him again."

Although Deirdre really wants to give Bianca a snarky remark, she simply bit back her tongue when the girl walked past her, purposely hitting her shoulder against Deirdre's. After she takes a deep breath, the girl decides to shrug the confrontation off, continuing on her way to her next class.

Thinking that she was late thanks to Bianca, Deirdre rushed into her class and earned alot of unneeded stares from the students around the room as well as one from Xavier, who gave the girl the same kind smile as he patted the seat next to his, giving the girl a sense of relief as she went to sit down next to him, completely forgetting Bianca's warning.
