Freaks Like Us ➳ Sleeping Wolf

As the clock strikes 1AM, Adam, Ivory and Deirdre all tossed and turned in their beds while Vivian was the only one who's still wide-awake, her legs bouncing on the floor as she glanced from her notes to her textbook, writing, erasing, rewriting, highlighting, all underneath the comfort of her lamp light.
When the girl reached into her bag, she shuffled her hand around the contents before she took hold of a thick book and pulled it out, placing it onto her desk. Vivian looked at the book cover and furrowed her brows when she realized that she had taken the wrong book, she cursed under her breath; "I thought i took Elemental Studies, i took Elements of Science & Magic. How did i even mix those?"
She groans, placing the book back into her bag and glanced at her friends, all still sleeping just as peacefully as before. The brunette turned back to her desk and ponders; Should she join them and get some rest of her own or should she just sneak into the school's library just to get that book she needed. Knowing her study-holic self, she chose the latter;
Vivian stood from her seat and grabbed her bag. sliding into her sneakers before she makes her way out of the door, sighing as she leaves her dorm.
She sneaks around the dark corridors of the school, keeping herself close to the walls while peaking out of every corner before she proceeds to make sure there's no one around. After a few lefts and rights, she noticed the library's entrance at the end of the hallway she's in and jogged towards it.
Just as she arrived by the door, she realized that they were automatic; the ones that open whenever they feel weight at the entrance and/or the exit. Since the lights inside the library were dark, Vivian groaned and tightened her grip on the door handles. While she does so, however, she felt this electrifying rush exiting through her fingertips and onto the doors as they made a "Ting!" sound before they both opened, causing Vivian to pull back her hands as they door remained open.
She stared at her hands, turning them over as if she was in disbelief about what she has done, despite the confusion, she was amazed of herself as she grins, huffing out two words; "Electrokinesis. Nice."
Vivian happily walks in the library and went behind the librarian's counter where underneath the desk, lies many light switches as well as air conditioner switches. Although she was wearing a cardigan, the night still feels a bit cold to Vivian, so she only switched on some of the lights before she left to look for the book she desperately needed.
Unfortunately for her though, she wasn't alone;
Unable to sleep, Ajax walks around the empty hallways without a care, probably because he wanted to somehow tire himself by going around campus before he went back to his dorm. All seemed well until he walks into a corridor to find the library with some of its lights turned on.
He made his way to the doors of the library thinking that maybe he was just imagining what he saw, but the moment he stopped at the entrance, the automatic doors opened.
"What the-" Ajax wonders out loud, stepping inside as he glanced around the empty foyer. As he was a bit hesitant to investigate, the boy clutched onto the hem of his sweater as he forced himself to explore the place, passing by the bookshelves whilst peeking his head in between just in case he catches something.
Suddenly, he hears the sound of soft footsteps walking behind one shelf, he froze just by its front and took a quick peek between the books. All he could make out from the gaps was that there was someone in the library that had long, dark brown hair. The person was seen bouncing up slightly as if they were trying to reach for something. Thinking that it might be a thief, he held onto his dark grey beanie and took a few deep breathes before he went and stood behind the brunette as if to prepare an ambush.
