Skipping through the Tuesday evening, as her bags were neatly arranged by the door, Deirdre stared at her reflection in her closet's mirror, tracing her fingers on the scales on her neck as she began to smile. As soon she hears her phone vibrating on her bed, she grabbed it and read Adam's message as he asked the group whether they're ready to go. She was the first to reply, with Vivian in second and Ivory third.
The brunette expressed her excitement for their trip by taking a picture of her luggage, sending it to the group chat before she turned her phone off. Going back to do a few minor touch-ups to her outfit and her hair, finishing just as her mother calls, "Deirdre, sweetie- your ride is here!"
"I'm coming mom!" She gleefully replies, sliding her phone into a small backpack before she slung it over her shoulders and grabbing her bags in the process. After sharing one last dinner with her family, they all hugged each other farewell and her whole family watches as Deirdre got onto the Nevermore bus.
"Please call or text us when you get there!" Her father reminds her, waving her goodbye as his daughter then sends him a flying kiss, quickly getting inside to take deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself down. When the bus began to move, the girl kneeled on the seats, waving her family goodbye up until they were out of her sight.
She wiped her tears away, sniffling softly as she then took her phone out, plugging in her earbuds to listen to music while texting her friends.

10 minutes later, the bus entered Ivory and Vivian's neighborhood, parking just by their bus stop where two girls had been sitting with their baggage, chatting the minutes away.
Excited, Deirdre ran to the bus' entrance to welcome her girls with a tight hug and high pitched squeals, before sitting down close to each other, talking/imagining about how the academy is gonna look like and the people they're gonna meet.
At one point during their trip to Adam's place, the girls video-called him, who was still busy packing up his things. When the girls saw his room, Vivian facepalmed as Ivory and Deirdre simply laughs at the mess.
"I'll clean this up, i swear-" Adam notes, huffing out as Ivory chuckles, "You better start now, 'cause we're getting close to your street."
"Wait fuck- really?" The boy felt a wave of concern as he pressed his forehead with his hand, "in that case, i gotta go, guys- see you later!"
"See ya DamDam!!" Vivian spoke in a gremlin voice, causing the group to laugh before they disconnected the call.
"Wonder why he's so busy-" Deirdre wonders aloud as her friends simply shrugged their shoulder before Ivory joked, "Probably because he needs to make sure he has the right amount of beanies to go along with his clothes."
"That can be true," Vivian comments, agreeing with Ivory, "But really, all of that could've been avoided if he had packed earlier. We're about to stop at his house-"
And just as she finished her sentence, the bus slowed down before stopping. When the doors opened, the girls catch Adam giving his mom a hug and a kiss on the cheek before running to the bus with his bags, waving her 'Goodbye' and waving his mates 'Hello'
After finding himself a seat on the bus, Ivory rests her arms in between his seat's headrest as she asked, "Did you get to clean your room?"
Adam simply smiled sheepishly at her question, rubbing the back of his neck as he shook his head, "Couldn't do it in time.."
"I feel bad for your mom, bro," Deirdre giggles, "She's gonna have to clean up your messy-ass room."
"And then the next time you come home," Vivian continues, "She'll place your things in places you don't even know exist, you're gonna struggle with that"
The boy sighed, chuckling at Vivian's statement as he pursed his lips, "As long as my room is clean, i'll be fine with that."

Throughout the whole trip, the quartet took multiple pictures and videos of each other, watched the sunset as well as the landmarks through the windows and played multiplayer games together. Occasionally, the bus would stop at supermarkets so that the teens could get themselves some snacks and drinks as well a much-needed bathroom break.
As they get closer to their destination, their excitement dies down just as the clock hits 1 to 2AM, where the four had fallen asleep on their seats, blissfully unaware of the dream they're about to experience;
In their dream, they all felt the heat of a blazing fire on their skin. Then when they opened their eyes, they find themselves in a courtyard of a school underneath a dark, starless sky. Besides that, the group watches as two figures stood against each other as a flaming tree burned brighter in between them.
The group watches as what appears to be a grinning, undead pilgrim walking towards a girl with dark hair and dark attire, stopping an arrow that was suddenly aimed at him with just a raise of his hand. When he flipped the arrow around, he shot the girl and caused her to fall.
After witnessing that ghastly scene, the four felt a sense of rage, an emotion that pushed them well enough to charge towards the pilgrim with a sudden burst of energy that passed through their bodies as they all raised one hand up in the air.
But before they could even hit a strike, everything went in slow motion, decelerating the group's attack as they slowly wake to the real world.
