SPECIAL CHAPTER

"Dad! You came!" I looked up from the second floor's veranda, seeing one of my sons waved his hands on me with a smile on his face. It was Ford who is a little bit more cheerful than the three of them, Gavin was the next cheerful and madaldal while Dwaye is the most quiet and behavior one.

"Have you seen the..." Ang lumalabas sa veranda na si Gavin. He stopped talking and stopped walking as he glanced at me with his shocked eyes. "Daddy! Oh! Mom! Dwaye! Daddy's already outside! Nakauwi na siya!"

I laughed at Gavin's reaction. He seems so happy after seeing his dad, huh.

Mula kay Gavin ay napabaling ang tingin ko kina Dwaye at sa asawa ko na kakalabas sa veranda.

Dwaye's eyes widened. "Dad!" He shouted excitedly then waved at me.

I met my wife's glances and I laughed seeing her mouth parted. "Surprise!"

Nagkatinginan sila bago tumakbo papasok sa loob ng bahay. Walang isang minuto ay nasa pinto na sila ng bahay, natatawang pumasok ako sa gate, ni-lock iyon sa loob bago naglakad papunta sa kinatatayuan ng aking pamilya.

My wife's glaring at me, agad akong nakatanggap ng sampal sa pwet ko nang makalapit ako sa kanila. "You liar! Akala ko ba na next week ka na uuwi! Buwiset ka ha..."

She pouted and acted like a little girl. I can't help myself but to hug her. Tinulak niya ako sa una pero kalaunan ay tumigil dahil mahigpit narin naman ang yakap ko sakanya.

"I missed my wife and the kids that's why I asked dad if I could go home earlier, wala siyang nagawa dahil pinilit ko siya kaya ito, nakauwi na si hubby and daddy niyo. Aren't you guys happy?"

"Happy po!" Sabi ng mga bata at niyakap kami sa hita.

I cupped my wife's face, she's still pouting but adorable in my eyes. God! How can she make me still fall in love with her? She's the only woman that made me feel this way, she's the only one who makes me crazy, and the only woman I want to be with until our hair became white.

"Aren't you happy, wife ko?"

Nagtatampong tinanggal niya ang kamay ko sa magkabilang pisngi niya. "Hindi."

"Why so?"

"Hmp! Hindi ka man lang kasi nagsabing uuwi ka na para man lang nasundo ka namin!"

Tumawa ako dahilan para sampalin niya ulit ako sa puwet. "Stop it, wife ko, may mga bata." She just glared at me. "Huwag ka na magtampo, wife ko. Gusto ko kasi kayong i-surprise."

"Oo na, nagtagumpay ka na, happy ka?"

"Yes, my wife."

"Good. Happy ako at ang mga bata."

"How's the ongoing resort in Dubai?"

"Doing great, wife. Malapit nang maayos ang building, kunti nalang."

"Talaga?"

"Hmm." I nodded.

"Wow, congratulations!" Ani ng asawa ko at niyakap ako.

"Congratulations to us."

Doon ako nanggaling sa Dubai, dahil may isa pang branch kami doon na sa ngayon ay on-going construction parin. My dad and I went there last week to meet with the architects and the engineers and we will supposed to go home next week but hell, I miss my family while we're in Dubai so I asked my dad and gladly, he said yes.

I was pulled out of my reverie when I felt their warm hugs. Those gestures put a genuine smile in my face, lahat ng pagod at sakit ng katawan ko ay unti-unting nawala nang masilayan at mayakap ko ang aking mga anak at ang kaisa-isa kong asawa.
