1 Day Before Present Day

An alarm clock went off in a room as a white haired man with blue eyes shut if off. He woke up, washed himself and got dressed for the day as he went down to his kitchen to make some food for himself.

He grabbed the newspaper from outside as he turned on his TV to watch the news.

"Second place winner of the first KOF Homura Izaken Has gone missing after a devil hunting job! The council told us they are trying their very best to find the young devil slayer!" The news woman said making the man spit his drink out.

"I see your up Vergil" Mira said to Vergil as she came down the stairs in her pajamas yawning

Mira saw that Vergil was in disbelief as she asked him if everything was okay.

"See for yourself" Vergil pointed at the tv as she read the headline.

"He's missing? How?" Mira asked

"That may explain why he hasn't called or I haven't worked with him in a while" Vergil said as he continued watching.

"Yes, according to the council he has been missing for over 2 months after he went to investigate a very dangerous devil at haregon port." The news woman said as this made very angry.

"Did they tell you about this?" Mira asked Vergil.

"Not a single thing. I'm sure the only reason the news even has this information is due to his guild forcing the council" he said pissed

Vergil went to check his mail as he saw a letter from the council as it was the same letter that was addressed to izuku.

He went back inside as Mira asked him what the letter was.

"Figures, since Izaken couldn't do their job for them now their sending me" he told Mira as she was shocked.

"Seriously?" She asked in disbelief

Vergil grabbed his sword and his coat.

"Where are you going?" She asked him.

"The guild to tell master. I figure he would know more than the news does" Vergil told Mira as he walked out of the house.

"Wait!" She called out to him as she hugged him from behind. She gave him a peck on the cheek as she wished him good luck before going back inside.

Vergil stood there for a few seconds. His face red hoping no one saw that as he went to the guild to ask Makarov about izuku's whereabouts.

He entered the guild to see the usual. Natsu and gray fighting, Cana drunk along with everyone else partying.

Vergil saw Makarov talking with lancia as he came up to them.

"Master I need to ask you about something" Vergil asked Makarov

"Hmm? What is you need child?" He asked

"Could we talk about this in private?" He asked which made Makarov and lancia interested.

"This question so bad you need to leave me out of it?" Lancia perked up.

"Actually you could help me track him" Vergil remarked as he nodded leading them into the back room.

"So what's this about?" Makarov asked curious.

"Did the council issue this mission to Izaken?" Vergil asked as he gave Makarov his letter

"Yes Why?" Makarov asked

"He's been missing for 3 months" Vergil told him as he was confused.

"3 Months!? Why did I just know this?" Lancia asked Vergil shaking him by his shoulders which he got out of.
