P104-The Battle Begins

Wendy and Lily stood ready as they faced Kain. Sweat dripped down his face as he pulled a small doll from his pocket.

"A... doll?" Carla tilted her head, her tone skeptical.

"That's right! With this doll, I am invincible!" Kain declared, trying to sound intimidating.

Carla sweatdropped. "Somehow, I doubt that."

"W-what?! How dare you underestimate me!" Kain shouted, flustered.

"You don't exactly scream 'powerhouse,'" Wendy added calmly.

"You'll regret those words! My magic lets me control anyone by attaching their hair to this doll!" Kain shouted triumphantly as he plucked a strand of hair from Wendy and stuck it to the doll. He then tossed it toward her.

Wendy caught the doll, frowning. "Um... why are you giving this to me?"

"To prove to you how it works!" Kain answered smugly.

Curious, Wendy moved the doll's arm. Kain's arm mirrored the movement.

"See! Now do you believe me?" Kain grinned.

Carla crossed her arms. "That's hardly impressive."

Before Kain could retort, Lily grabbed the doll, smirking. Without hesitation, he slammed it to the ground and stomped on it. Kain was immediately slammed into the dirt with a yelp.

"H-hey! You weren't supposed to do that!" Kain cried, wincing in pain.

Lily's grin turned mischievous as he leaned close to Wendy and whispered, "I'll toss this doll into the air. You hit it with your Sky Dragon's Roar to send it far away. Without it, he's powerless."

"Got it! That'll end this fast!" Wendy whispered back, nodding eagerly.

Kain groaned as he struggled to climb out of the crater. "Y-you'll see! You can't stop me-"

But Wendy and Lily were already preparing their move.

"Alright, now hand the doll back so I can-" Before Kain could finish, Lily cut him off with a sharp yell.

"Now, Wendy!" he shouted, throwing the doll high into the air.

"What are you doing?!" Kain shrieked, his face twisting in shock.

Sky Dragon's Roar! Wendy unleashed a powerful vortex, blasting the doll far out of sight.

The same force hurled Kain backward, slamming him into a cluster of trees. He wheezed, spitting as he tried to catch his breath.

"D-damn you, Fairy Tail!" he managed to curse before slumping unconscious.

"Well, that was easier than expected," Lily said, reverting to his smaller Exceed form.

"Yeah..." Carla agreed, brushing herself off.

Before they could leave, Wendy began channeling her Sky Dragon magic, her fist glowing with energy.

"Wendy, what are you doing?" Levy asked, startled as Wendy's magic grew stronger.

"Just taking some advice from Lancia-san and Iza-nii," Wendy muttered, her hair tips glowing faintly pink and blue.

"A-advice?" Lily stammered, wide-eyed.

"Always double-tap," Wendy replied, her tone unusually menacing.

Groggily, Kain opened his eyes, barely aware of what was happening. "Huh... what-?"

Sky Dragon Slayers: Annihilation Fist! Wendy appeared in front of him in a blur, her magic-charged punch colliding with his stomachs like a meteor. The sheer force caused Kain's eyes to bulge and roll back as he was launched through another row of trees, the ground trembling with the impact.
