Finney's pov:

I woke up, sitting up tiredly. "Robin?" I whispered. He didn't answer, I got out of the bed, almost stepping on Robin who was sleeping on the ground.

"Robin?" I asked shaking him, his eyes fluttered open, before looking at me. "Hey Finney" Robin mumbled, his hair spreading every. "How's your wrist?" Robin asked sitting up. "It's fine" I mumbled. Robin was really close. I noticed.

Robin grabbed my wrist gently, looking over it. I could feel my face heat up. "I think you should still see a doctor though" Robin mentioned. I shook his head. "I won't need one" I said, waving my good hand in dismissal. Robin frowned. "But you might" Robin pestered. "But I won't" I responded.

Robin glared at me. "Whatever" he bickered, standing up. "It's 4:30" he said, "Don't you usually leave at 5:00" Robin said, fidgeting with his fingers. I nodded, standing up as well.

"Then you should get going" Robin whispered. "Yeah" I shrugged awkwardly. "Okay" Robin said, stepping out of his room. I followed him.

Robin's pov:

I walked into school Finney and Griffin we're talking, Finney looked nervous but their conversation dropped when I came over. "Hey Robin" Griffin greeted, Finney nodded. "Hey, what we're you guys talking about?" I asked curiously. "Nothing!" Finney snapped. I gave him a weird look because he was being weird. "Okay..." I shrugged.

Griffin laughed shaking his head. "Hey Robin what are you doing after school?" Griffin asked, I watched him step on Finney's foot and wondered what these two we're up to.

Are they gonna do something? I started to worry. Is this a prank? Are they gonna have a whole bunch of people to laugh at me?

"Hey Robin?" Finney's voice brought him back to reality. "Are you okay?" He asked concerned. I quickly nodded. "I'm fine" I hope my smile didn't look as forced as it felt. "And uh, I gotta help out my uncle today" I lied, not wanting to fall for any tricks. "Oh" finney said, he looked almost disappointed. Griffin just nodded. "That's okay Robin, maybe next time?" Griffin smiled, I shrugged.

"Well I have to get going to my first hour" Griffin said, dragging Finney closer to me with a nudge to his side. What does that mean? Robin wondered. "And since you guy's have the same first hour why don't you two chit chat" Griffin smiled, leaving before each of them could say anything.

It got really awkward after that.

"So" Finney started, beginning to walk, I walked next to him. "How has your day been" Finney asked. "The day just started?" I said, chuckling. Finney looked embarrassed. "Right of course" he laughed, tilting his head down. He had a pretty smile.

I thought without realizing it and I quickly pushed the thought away. He's not some gay kid like me. "Are you busy tomorrow?" Finney asked randomly, looking hopeful. I shrugged not knowing. "Well if you are free tomorrow wanna hang out" Finney asked.

"Just the two of us?" Finney added more quietly but I could still hear him. Just the two of us? No Griffin? No one else?

"Sure" I mumbled shrugging as I stepped into first hour. Finney smiled. "Okay! That's great" Finney nodded.

Progress is happening between them 😭💗
