Chapter 20

(Y/N POV)

I woke up this morning super excited! I cannot wait to see Dib! I get from my bed, and head to my bathroom to do my morning routine. Brush my teeth, brush my hair, wash my face, etc. When I'm finished with my routine, I head downstairs for breakfast. "Morning sunshine." I hear my dad say from the couch. "Morning." I said. "Are you hungry? Do you want me to make you something to eat?" He asks. "Do we have waffles?" I ask. "You bet!" My dad said as he walked into the kitchen to get the waffles out of the freezer. "So are we doing anything today?" I ask, hoping that there is nothing planned. "Nope." My dad says as he puts my waffles in the toaster. "Do you want to do anything today?" He asks. "Well... Dib did invite me over to his place tonight." My dad smirks. "What time?" "6:00" I said. "Want me too drop you off?" My dad asked. I was very happy when he offered to drop me off, I got his approval! "Yes please!" I said, well more like screamed. "Easy killer." My dad said to me while handing me my breakfast. "Waffles.." I said to myself as I shovel it in my face. "So what are you and Dib supposed to do tonight?" He asked. "I dunno, I think it's a surprise, but either way I'm excited!" I said. My dad smiled. While I was eating I saw this little green "dog" looking at me through the window, staring at me drooling. I think he wants my waffles? I shrug it off and finish eating. When I'm done I go upstairs and look at the clock, I scoff. "Why can't it be 6:00 already!?" I said inpatient. I try to pass the time, playing games, watching TV, all of the above. When I finally decided to look at the clock again, it read "5:12." I was happy. "I better get ready!" I said. I go into my closet to figure out what to wear, I decided to wear a red 50's style dress, a white sweater, and some polkadot heels. When I'm done getting dressed, I head into the bathroom to curl my hair, put on some red lipstick, mascara, and some perfume. "You almost ready?" I hear my dad yell from downstairs. "Coming!" I said, as I walk down the stairs. "You look very nice sweetheart." My dad said. "Thank you! I tried really hard to look nice." I said. "Well it worked, now c'mon let's get you in the car, your majesty." My dad said opening the door for me to walk outside. He can be so cheesy sometimes. I walk to the car and get in the front seat, my dad then gets in and starts the car, and we're off to Dibs house. I'm so excited to see him! I can't wait! When we get there I step out of the car and start to walk to the porch. "You want me to walk you to the door?" My dad asks. "Nope, I'm good!" I say smiling. "Alright, be safe, I love you!" He said. "I love you too!" I responded, and he drove off. I then got to the porch and knocked on the door. Dib opened it. "Hey, Y/N, I-" I cut him off with a big hug as always, I just can't help myself! "Hi Dib, I'm so happy to see you!" I said still hugging him. "I'm glad to see you too." Dib said. I finally let go and Dib looks amazed. "Wow.. Y/N.. you look.. stunning.." Dib says blushing. "Thank you." I said, also blushing. "You look nice too." I said. He is wearing a navy dress shirt, with a black tie, and some black pants. He looks so cute! It's almost unbearable! "Come inside, m'lady." Dib said opening the door welcoming me inside. I walk in and I see Dibs dad. "Hi, Mr.Membrane, thanks for letting me come over!" I say smiling. "No problem, you can come over whenever you need, my home is your home." He said. "Thanks!" I said, as I turn to Dib. "Soo, what are we doing tonight?" I ask. "That's a surprise! We'll head out in a few minutes." He said smiling. "My dad's gonna go warm up the car, do you wanna go to my room while we wait?" He asks. "Yeah sure! Sounds fun." I said following him up the stairs to his bedroom. "Wow Dib, cool room." I said. "Thanks, you wanna see my files on Zim?" He asked. "Sure." I said, as I sit beside him on his bed, it's really comfy. "I have some videos of Zim in his house doing weird stuff, nothing good enough to show to the world though." Dib said pulling up a video of Zim eating waffles, while me and him are watching the video I see the green dog in the background who was staring at me this morning while I ate my breakfast. I point to the dog. "I saw that dog this morning! He was staring at me through the window all creepy like." I said. "Huh, weird." Dib said. "The cars warmed up! You guys wanna come downstairs and hop in?" I heard Dibs dad yell from downstairs. "Yeah!" Said Dib and I, we then came down the stairs and we walked outside to Dibs dad's car.

(Dib POV)

I was very excited about today! I'm taking Y/N on a surprise date! I woke up about 8:00 o'clock and ate some toast as always, after that I got the house cleaned up with some of my dad's help, we wiped down counters, vacuumed, mopped, etc. After we were done the house looked spotless. I looked at the clock and it read "5:36." "Oh shoot, Y/N is gonna be here soon!?" I run upstairs and try to figure out what I'm gonna wear. "Red shirt, no. What about this yellow one? Ugh no." I can't decide, I can't find anything good enough?! Until I spot a dark navy blue dress shirt. "Perfect." I say to myself. I decide to match this shirt with a black tie, some black pants, and some black leather boots. I check myself out in the mirror. "I do look good, if I do say so myself." Gaz walks by my door and sees me doing this. "You really are weird Dib." She said giving me a nasty look. "Don't judge me Gaz, I have a big day today!" I said, she scoffs. "Whatever." I sigh. "Siblings." I then go into the bathroom to check if I look my best for Y/N. "Not too shabby Dib." I said looking at myself in the mirror. I put some gel in my hair to make it look shiny, fix my tie up a bit, and put on some cologne. I'm so excited! But so nervous at the same time. I wonder what Y/N is wearing? Speaking of Y/N, I soon hear a knock at the door, I head down stairs and answer the door. "Hey, Y/N, I-" I soon feel arms wrapped around me, as quick as a flash. "She's so warm.." I think to myself. "Hi Dib, I'm so happy to see you!" She said still hugging me. "I'm glad to see you too." I answered, then she let go of me and I finally saw her face.. She was wearing a red dress, with a white sweater, and some polka dot heels. Her face looked like an angels, she smelled like roses, she acted as sweet as candy.. She's just, perfect.. "Wow.. Y/N.. you look.. stunning.." I said. She tucked a hair behind her ear. "Thank you." She said. "You look nice too." I smile, she's so sweet. "Come inside, m'lady." I said opening the door for her. She walks in and I see my dad standing there. She says to him "Hi, Mr.Membrane, thanks for letting me come over!" My dad responds "No problem, you can come over whenever you need, my home is your home." I walk over to Y/N and stand next to her. "Thanks!" She said as she turns to me. "Soo, what are we doing tonight?" She asked. That's a surprise! We'll head out in a few minutes." I said with a smile. "My dad's gonna go warm up the car, do you wanna go to my room while we wait?" I ask. "Yeah sure! Sounds fun." She responds. I walk up the stairs, go into my room, and sit on the side of my bed. "Wow Dib, cool room." She said. "Thanks, you wanna see my files on Zim?" I asked. "Sure." She said sitting beside me, we were sitting very close together, like shoulder to shoulder, she was very warm, like a comfy blanket in the winter time. "I have some videos of Zim in his house doing weird stuff, nothing good enough to show to the world though." I said pulling up the video of Zim eating waffles, it wasn't that interesting, but it was the most interesting video I had, all the rest are Zim just standing there or something. Y/N then points at my screen and says. "I saw that dog this morning! He was staring at me through the window all creepy like." I responded with. "Huh, weird." My dad then yelled from downstairs. "The cars warmed up! You guys wanna come downstairs and hop in?" "Yeah!" Me and Y/N said at the same time. We then walked down the stairs, and walked to my dad's car, together.
