Chapter Seventeen Dinner at Coco's Place pt 1

(Coco Adel) Once the school day ended I walked home and once I had arrived at home I walked through the front door and once inside I placed my keys on the wall rack and I then took off my three inch heels and I put them in the hallway closet before I walked to the living room and I then sat on my couch and I put my feet up on the ottoman and I started to relax when I felt my scroll pinged and I then reached into my pocket and I retrived my scroll and I then looked down and I saw that Kelly had messaged me and the text read (Kelly hi Aunt Coco I spoke with the team about having dinner at your house tonight at 6:30 and they said yes, Team KSBC & the remainder of Team CNVW will see you at 6:30 oh and Valerie is on her way to your home for dinner Aunt Coco since you're her legal guardian because of the disappearance of Aunty Velvet ten years ago) I then responded back and I responded back with alright my dear I will see you tonight at 6:30 dear and you don't have to dress up fancy if you don't want to and Kelly responded back with a thumbs up which made me chuckle as I stood up from the couch and I then walked to the kitchen and I started to gather the ingredients that I needed to make meatloaf for dinner and while I was gathering the ingredients I heard the front door open and a pair of footsteps enter the kitchen and I said without looking at Valerie Hi sweetie how was the rest of your first day of classes and my goddaughter replied it was exausting but good Aunt Coco.

Even though it has been ten years since Velvet's disappearance and I took in Valerie into my home and I gave her the love she needed but I couldn't ever replace her mom but I could fill the role of her maternal figure, Velvet was like a younger sister to me and her disappearance deeply hurt me because the last time that I had seen Velvet prior to her disappearance something felt off about Velvet like she was nervous about something but I didn't press the issue and looking back now I wish I had. Why don't you go and do your homework and once you finish your homework you can take a nap if you like and Valerie said tiredly Okay Aunt Coco and then my goddaughter trudged up the stairs to her bedroom and I couldn't help but smile at her childish antics and once I had finished gathering the ingredients for the meatloaf I then mixed & stired in the ingredients and after about an hour of preparing I had finished preparing I then put the filled pan on meatloaf into the oven and I set a timer for two hours and I calculated that the meatloaf would be done by six since it was currently four o clock pm. Once I had finished cleaning up the kitchen I then walked to the stairs and I climbed to the second floor and once I reached the second floor I walked down the hallway to my bedroom and as I was making my way to my room I passed by Valerie's room I noticed that she needed some help with her homework so I walked into her bedroom and after an hour of helping Valerie work on her homework we were done with Valerie's homework and then Valerie then got dressed into a semi nice shirt and skirt before she then climbed under covers and she took a short nap and after I had opened her scroll I then set an alarm to go off in thirty minutes and I said sweetie I set an alarm on your scroll to go off in thirty minutes okay and Valerie said Okay Auntie Coco I then placed a kiss on her forehead and then I quietly left her bedroom and I headed to my bedroom where I gathered some clothes before I then walked to my bathroom and I took a shower and after ten minutes in the shower I got out and I dried myself off before I got dressed into a black skirt and brown dress shirt along with a pair of black socks once I had finished getting dressed I then put on some light makeup and then once I was happy with how I looked I then walked out of my bathroom and I then left my room and I headed downstairs to relax until our company were supposed to arrive in an hour and a half since it was currently 5:30 and I turned on the tv and I started to watch whatever was on which so happened to be a ValeMark Love Story which made me wanted to gag since it was pretty much the same story every time I was watching tv for a half hour before I heard the sound of the timer go off and so I quickly walked to the kitchen where I turned off the timer and I then pulled out the meatloaf after I had put on a pair of oven mitts and I then placed the meatloaf onto the stovetop to cool off and pretty soon the doorbell rang and so I ran to the door and I let the members of team KSBC into my home and a few minutes later the three remaining members of team CNVW arrived as well and once inside the eight teenagers made their way to the dining room where they took their seats at the table and they talked while I looked on and smiled.
