My silent mother Volume 1

Chapter One Hundred & Thirty Two Telling Willow

April 25th

Sixteen years earlier

(Ruby Rose Schnee)  Today Weiss & I are headed to New Atlas to tell my mother in law that she was going to become a grandmother in four months time, my mother in law Willow and I get along really well when I first came out as gay she was the one of the first people to support me besides Yang and dad which I greatly appericated her for the support.

Weiss was driving the Lexus while I sat in the passenger seat and I was really excited to tell her the great news, The drive to New Atlas was a very long drive it was a six hour drive to the Northern Coast of Vale and eventually we had finally pulled into the driveway of the mansion and as we were getting out of the car Willow came walking out of the mansion and she greeted us once we had exited the car.

Willow walked up to me and she pulled me into a hug and I returned the hug and Willow said I'm so glad that you and Weiss decided to visit me and I said of course thanks for the invite Willow and she said anytime dear then Willow ended the hug and then she walked over to Weiss before she pulled her  into a hug.

Weiss returned the hug and she said Hi mom and Willow replied hello baby girl and then said where are my manner please come inside and let's chat and then we followed Willow into the mansion, Once inside Weiss and I were led to the living room where we all sat on the couch and Willow then asked Do you want something to drink? Weiss said could I have some water and Willow said alright I will go and get you a glass of water.

Willow then asked me if I wanted something to drink and I said I that I didn't need anything to drink at the moment and she said alright and then she walked to the kitchen and she grabbed a glass and she then filled up a glass of water for Weiss and she then placed a few ice cubes into the glass before she then walked back to the living room and then she handed the glass of water to Weiss saying here you go hon and Weiss said thanks mom.

Willow then sat in an arm chair and she said not that I don't mind you girls visiting me but is there a reason why you both decided to visit today? Weiss rubbed her hands together nervously and I just put a hand on her shoulder and I said breath babe and Weiss then took a few deep breaths while Willow looked on at the sight of Weiss & I.

I then whispered into Weiss's ear Are you ready to tell your mom snowflake? Weiss nodded her head and she then said with a shaky voice Mom Ruby & I have some news for you and Willow said I'm all ears girls and then Weiss said mom you're going to be a grandmother because Ruby & I are expecting a child, Willow walked over to Weiss and I and she sat down and she asked really? And I said really Willow you will be a grandma in four months time.

Willow and Weiss talked excitedly about the baby while I decided to step out and give mother and daughter some quality time together while I walked out to the kitchen, and when I entered I saw a picture that I had never seen before sitting on the counter in the picture was Willow lying in a hospital bed the day that Winter was born and I saw my mom who was holding a newborn Winter in her arms.                               

There was some writing at the bottom of the picture which read to my best friend and surrogate sister Summer for everything that you do and have done for me love Willow, I felt tears prick at the corner of my eyes while I looked at the picture but I couldn't take my eyes off the picture and I heard a voice speak from behind me, I miss your mom as well Ruby and I turned around and I saw Willow standing in the doorway.

Willow then said your mom was like a sister to me and there isn't a day that I don't think about her Ruby, whenever I needed something your mom was always there for me if I needed a shoulder to cry on or just someone to talk to she was always there and the day that she vanished I was extremely crushed and it was one of the final nails in the coffin that drove me to completely distance myself from my family & friends.

I ran over to Willow and we just held each other and we cried and talked about my mom.
