My silent mother Volume 1

Chapter Nineteen Going home and Christmas Pt 1

                                                                                              10:30 a.m.

(Winter Branwen) Today's the day that my nieces Kelly & Summer and my nephews Blaze and Calvin are supposed to come home from Beacon and so Qrow and I along with James our six year old son are headed to Vale Central Station to pick up the kiddos, the three of us left this morning at 8:30 and well piled into the Dodge Truck and we drove to the Station. Currently I'm the one who's driving since Qrow is passed out in the backseat since he had got home around midnight from a Grimm hunt and so I decided that it would be best if he slept in the backseat and catch up on his sleep. About seven years ago I got discharged from the military and then Qrow & I had gotten engaged after we had dated for about a year after about six months of being engaged Qrow and I got married and a year our son James was born, After many discussions on a name for our son Qrow & I had finally decided on a name which was James in honor of my mentor and father figure when I was younger and I couldn't be happier with any other name other than James. After driving for about two hours we had arrived at Vale Central Station and after I had found a parking spot I hopped out of the truck and I gently closed the drivers door behind me and I then left the car unlocked and then I walked into the station and as I walked through the crowds I had arrived at the Beacon Academy Terminal and I then sat down on an empty bench and I then pulled out my scroll and I watched a few videos and when I heard the sound of teenagers talking I put my scroll away and then I stood up and I then saw my nieces and nephews come walking down the hallway and I saw something that made me smile I saw Kelly & Summer holding hands and I thought to myself they both must have finally told each other how they really felt about the other and as the four of them came closer I waved at them and I then braced myself for the flurry of petals which was my niece Summer Rose Schnee and once she had collied into me I held her in my embrace and I said hi honey how has Beacon been so far and Summer said it has been amazing so far Aunt Winter and I then said I'm glad honey, Summer then looked around for her great uncle Qrow and her younger cousin James and Summer then said where are Grunkle Qrow and James Aunt Winter and I said they are currently sleeping in the truck hun. Kelly then approached me and she hugged me and I said hi sweetie as I returned the embrace and once we broke off the hug I said why don't you four head to the truck  we can leave which earned me a chorus of yes Aunt Winter. 

After the five of us had arrived at the truck I walked to the door that was behind the passenger side of the truck and I then opened it before I reached in and I gently shook my husband awake and Qrow woke quickly up and he looked at me and he smiled saying Hey Ice Queen which caused me to roll my eyes but I smiled and I said Good Morning my Crow and I then said luv you need to vacate the backseat because the kiddos are here and are waiting to get in the truck which caused Qrow to sit up and stretch before he got out of the backseat and he walked to the passenger door and he then got into the passenger seat and then the kiddos hopped into the back seat which thankfully had five seats in the backseat four for each of the teenagers and one for James who was now talking to his older cousins. I drove us to the Schnee Manor where all of our extended family were gathering for Christmas, even mom was going to be there and unlike when I was growing up mother doesn't drink anymore and she has been sober for twelve years now and I couldn't be happier with mom's progression over the course of the last twelve years and over these last twelve years mom was able to reforge a new bond with myself Weiss & Whitley, Anyways after a long and grueling six hour drive to the new Schnee Manor which was built on the northern coast of Vale where it was built after the original Manor had been destroyed with the downfall of Atlas during the War of Salvation Against Salem, Once we had pulled up to the gate I use my voice to open the gate and then once the gate had opened I drove through the gate and then once I had pulled into the driveway I parked the truck and then we all got out the truck and once we had gotten out of the truck I saw my mom who was now in her early fifties come walking down the driveway pushing a luggage cart for all the luggage that was in the trunk and once mom had reached us she parked the cart and she then gave me a hug and I returned it before mom walked over to each of her grandchildren a hug and then along with Qrow had gathered all the luggage before they both pushed it back up the driveway and up the portable ramp that had been placed by Klein and then once the luggage was inside the manor I led the kids into the manor with James holding my hand and once all of us had gotten inside the manor I placed James onto the floor and he then quickly took off running in the direction of the living room. 

Once we all had gotten settled in and the kids had gotten their luggage upstairs and had put away all of their clothes we all had gathered in the living room we all were sitting in the recliners and couches, sitting on the couch by the fireplace was my sister in law Ruby who was holding James in her lap on Ruby's right sat my sister and on Ruby's left sat our mom, on another couch sat Blake Yang & Nora, on another couch sat Jaune Ren and Coco, in a recliner sat Whitley and sitting on the right arm sat his wife Jessica meanwhile Summer Raven Qrow & Taiyang were in the kitchen talking while the kids fought for a place to sit and I couldn't help but smile and I then looked in the direction of the fireplace I saw Summer and Kelly were resting their heads on each others shoulders and I'm so glad that they finally found their significant other. After seven hours of relaxing and talking we ate dinner around 7:30 and then it was time to put the younger kids to bed around 8:45 and then the rest of us adults played games and had fun until it was around 11:00 and then all of us placed presents under the Christmas tree and then we all went to bed since tomorrow morning was Christmas Morning.
