Chapter One Hundred & Fifty Two Family Game Night pt 1

May 15th

(Trivia Vanille) After the party we all went inside to talk and hang out since it wasn't to late, I pulled out a couple of games that we could play and I left them out on the table for Yang Blake and their kids, Ruby & Weiss as well as Tyler & Summer, Mackenzie & Kelly and finally my sister Kristian & Vivian to decide on what game they wanted to play while I took Maclin upstairs to bed.

When I had reached the top of the stairs I walked towards the nursery and once I had reached the nursery I walked inside and I quickly changed Maclin out of his onesie and used diaper and into a fresh diaper and a clean onesie and then I fed him before I put him down for the night, Before I left the nursery I turned on the baby monitor and then I left the nursery and I headed downstairs.

Once I reached the bottom of the stairs I saw that everyone was playing a card game at the dining room  table and so I took a seat between Summer & Kelly and I looked around and I then asked where's Mackenzie girls? Kelly spoke for both of them saying Summer just put Mackenzie down for bed on the couch about five minutes ago.

I turned my head and I saw that Mackenzie was indeed asleep on the couch and she was holding her stuffed Beowulf to her chest and she had pacifier in her mouth and so I whispered why is she still using a pacifier while she sleeps? This time Summer spoke saying we are in the process of weaning her off the pacifier at night mom it's just taking a little bit of time doing it though.

Well as long as you go at her pace everything should go well girls, your mothers and I are extremely proud of the commitment that you both have shown by giving Mackenzie a much better life than what she had before.

I then said deal me in and four cards were slid across the table to me and I then held them tightly to my chest and I couldn't help but feel a little bit smug, the hand i'm currently holding has an Ace, King, Queen, Jack & Ten of hearts which gave me a royal flush to bad we aren't playing for money.

As we played I was having so much fun playing with my family, As I was shuffling the deck I felt something tugging on my sweatpants and I looked down and I saw Mackenzie and she was holding out her arms so I picked her up and I placed her in lap.

I whispered Hi sweetie is everything okay? She shook her head and she said I had bad dream nene, I then asked is there something that you want me to do to help you fall asleep cutie? Mackenzie sat in thought for a moment and then she said snuggle with me nene please?

I then said okay cutie just let me tell your moms that I will be back later to place cards with them Mackenzie said okay nene, I then whispered to Summer & Kelly and I let them know that I was going to take Mackenzie upstairs and we were going snuggle on my bed and then both said okay.

I then stood up from my seat and I then walked over to the couch and I picked the stuffed Beowulf as well as Mackenzie's fluffy blanket and then I went upstairs, Once upstairs I headed towards my bedroom and once I had reached it I opened the door with my free hand and I walked inside.

Once inside my bedroom I carried Mackenzie over to my bed and I then gently placed her on the bed and she crawled over to where I slept at night, I couldn't help but smile at just how cute my youngest granddaughter was at this moment, I walked over to my side of the bed and I then climbed under the covers before I gently pulled her into my arms.  

Mackenzie then said nene I'm scared, I said in a soft voice you don't have to be scared sweetie, I know that you had a bad dream but that's all it really is a bad dream, but don't worry your moms and grandmothers as well as great granny Summer, gg Raven, nanny Willow and I will be here for you and your sissy if you need us.

Mackenzie then held out her pinky and she whispered pinky promise nene? and I then held out my pinky as well and I said when we locked our pinkies together pinky promise cutie, now why don't you try to get some sleep cutie pie and Mackenzie said okay nene and she then closed her eyes and she started to drift off to sleep.

As Mackenzie was starting to doze off I sang an old lullaby that my mom used to sing to me when I was Mackenzie's age and as soon as I had finished singing the lullaby Mackenzie was sound asleep, I then placed a kiss on her forehead and I said good night sweetie I love you and then I fell asleep as well.
