The day where y/n can celebrate the new coming year with her California crew. "So C/N? What are you expecting for new years?" Andrea said while leaning against a nearby wall. "Umm, I'm hoping for something interesting that will change my life... I don't know." Y/n spoke and they just nods. Not long after that, everyone gathered in the dining hall to start the count down to new years and party the night/morning away.

Being stationed in California was a great choice, as y/n walked into the conference room and she immediately stoped to notice all the plaque of those who made it to top tier in rankings and even those who have fallen. Y/n scans each one before seeing hers and a familiar face she hasn't seen in a very long time. "Hi Ethan, I'm back." She mumbled as she then looked away and stepped foot inside the conference room.

Y/n next deployment station was in north Carolina. They needed a teacher to show the values of being a good model, and they chose to recruit y/n for that job.

"Well done C/N, I can sense a new position coming your way ma'am." Sargent floyer spoke as he congratulate her for her heard working efforts these past few weeks. "Thank you sir. It should be paying off." Y/n nods before following up in her combat teaching.

At night y/n called Simon. "They just used me as a model for motivation for their soldiers, and I'm not mad but the look of distrust on their faces was very... interesting. Oh! Apparently I'm getting promoted with a few of of my crew." Y/n spoke as she held her phone out. "That's good news, congrats. You actually deserve that." Ghost spoke in his low voice.

"That's what I'm thinking. Went through so much for nothing." Y/n sighed with a smile. "Anyways I'm almost done here. In just a few more weeks. I'll be back out there with you and the guys again soon."
Y/n spoke happily. "I'll be here waiting for you." Ghost spoke back into the phone. "Okay I'll make sure your the first to be hugged, okay?" She spoke while giggling. "Okay..." Ghost let out a long breath and smiled.

The two spending a few more minutes with ghost on the phone until they had hanged up for the night. As the days passes by, one day after another. Ghost and the gang used small missions as a way to make the days go by faster. "Come on LT, just two more missions left." Soap elbowed ghost. Ghost regained his posture before glaring down at soap. "I know that." He mocked back. "I'm just more excited to see her again." Soap said before taking off to do his own things.

"Be on our best behavior, I fought hard to convince them to let her return." Price joked as he stands in front of the landing doc. Upon the arrival, the aircraft unloaded some things but yet no one came out from it. "Strange? I thought she would come out from there by now." Soap asked confused.

Not a minute later, out came a girl with now semi short hair and dressed in a new suit. "Y/n!" Soap called. Y/n pulled her mask down and smiled. "Hey." Y/n said before walking up to ghost who stood by him. "Hello, Ghost." Y/n smiled before being engulfed by the large man.

"Welcome home... Sargent." Ghost said releasing her. Y/n also couldn't forget her friends. "Good to see you ma'am. Congratulations on the promotion." Gaz said fist bumping her. "Thank you it's about time." Y/n said with a proud smile. "hard work did paid off." Y/n said standing in their attention.

Ghost helped carry in Y/Ns bags back to her room and even help set it back into place. The two talked as they now set up the final items. Ghost placed photos from her trip in America. Her family, her California station crew and even her promotion photo.

Ghost smiled to himself before his own eyes landing on a new photo he never seen before. It was a photo of younger y/n with a younger guy next to her. Both smiling like children taking their class photo. Ghost remembered the first time he was introduced to younger y/n on a mission along with the boy. Man how he regretted neglecting her back then.

At the end of the day ghost stayed in
Y/Ns room. Y/n was in bed scrolling through her phone as ghost was resting between her legs, resting his head off her body. He too scrollings through his phone. The two feeling comfortable in each other presences. The two then would occasionally have small talks about each other trips and missions to even talking about nonsense that had no point.

"Can't use that against me, I haven't don't anything to you, fucker." Y/n spoke as she turned away from her phone. Ghost just looked up from his spot. "Actually I can." He spoke at their playful argument. Y/n pushed his head lightly before rolling her eyes then pushed him off her. Without notice Ghost had rolled to far that he now fallen onto the floor. "Ow." He groaned. Y/n covered her mouth after snorting at the sound.

"Shit my bad... are you alright?" Y/n said peeking over the edge of the bed. After looking down y/n was jump-scare by Ghost now taking a hold of her and bringing her down with him. "Ahh!" Y/n shouts before feeling herself land onto his chest. The only sound she can hear was the light laughters coming from the guy. 

"Now I can say it." He joked once eyeing the girl that looked at him with a dull look. "What?" He said looking back at her with a confused look. Y/n shakes her head. "Cant believe I'm dating the biggest jerk known to man." Y/n spoke but couldn't hold in a serious expression. "Nah, you wanted this." He teased but y/n gasped. "No, last time I checked... you wanted me to move on." She said now hitting him playfully.

Ghost through about it for a minute. "Oh I did huh? Welp, your now stuck with me for the rest of your life." He spoke back before taking y/n back into his arms. "Ghost... your.. squeezing me to tight." Y/n spoke through struggled breaths . "My bad." Ghost said once letting her go. The two soaking up each others presence.
