Mariana was walking into her collage once again. She was tired of it.

"Ma come over here" Ethan said "leave me alone Ethan" she replied annoyed. She was tired of Ethan.

"Why you gotta be like that" he asked as he gripped on her wrist "let fucking go" Mariana said through her teeth "I told you I would do anything for you" he said.

She assumed that he would follow her to her classes but never to grip so hard on her. "Ethan let fucking go" she repeated again. This time he didn't listen, he gripped even tighter.

"Yo Ethan leave her alone" one of his friends said "bro let her go" the friend repeated "she needs to learn" Ethan said.

Mariana squeeze on to her coffee cup with her other hand to let the cap fall off, once it did she poured it over Ethan's head "fucking bitch" he spat "I told you to leave me the fuck alone and you didn't listen" I said.

Ethan let go of me and walked away, I continue to walk inside of the campus annoyed that I had to spill my coffee because a dumbass couldn't fucking listen.

"Mari" I heard someone call out, I stopped in my track and turned around seeing it was Ethan's friend "i'm sorry bout his dumbass is your wrist ok" he asked "you don't have to apologize you didn't do anything" I said "I just wanted to make sure you were alright" he said making me slightly smile "I am thanks for asking" I replied.

I walked upstairs into my class and walked over to my seat.

"Come in Come in" My professor said as all the students came in. "Today we are going to review so please pay attention and don't be caught by surprise when I pick on you" the teacher said.

"Ethan if you plead not-guilty when there is clearly evidence of you doing it what are the consequences?" the professor asked, Ethan was pretty good at this stuff but I don't think anyone would want him as a lawyer.

"Um A Not Guilty Plea will not ultimately lead to a trial, so you have to be confident in your position if you decide to make this choice. During a trial, you will be required to present evidence that supports your position, and then allow either the Judge or jury to weigh the evidence and come to a conclusion" Ethan said as the teacher clapped "great job Mr Alvarado" he said.

"We could be a great lawyer couple" Ethan said as he turned his head and whispered to me "no the fuck we can't after what you pulled today" I replied "Ms Reyes since you enjoy talking answer this question, if you murder someone and they find the victim with a weapon on them is it self defense in New York City?" he asked me.

"Well it's vital for everyone living and working in New York City to understand the laws in place designed to protect victims of violent crime and the extent to which they may legally defend themselves from attacks by others" I said as I copied down notes from the board "all this talking and you somehow still understand" he replied.

It was clear that I wasn't bad at it but it was so boring sometimes.

I finally finished class and I was now on my home since I didn't live on campus.

Walking out of my car I see Alexis, Dougie, and Cblu outside in the steps.

"Sista" Alexis said as she ran to me and gave me a hug "hello" I replied confused "what do you want" I replied "well i'm thankful that you didn't snitch last night" she said "move before I do" I said "hey ma" Dougie said to me as he stood up and gave me a hug.

"I missed you" I said into his ears "um Mari someone is like dead stalking you" Alexis said "who" I turned around and seen Ethan.

"Here we fuckin go" I mumbled as Dougie grabbed onto my hand "why can't you fucking get it Ethan I don't want you" I said "Mariana don't lie" he replied "i'm not wrd 2 my mother" I said "she done brought it there" Cblu said slightly laughing.

"Mama you know I can do better then whatever that is" he said talking about Dougie "nigga fuck is you chattin bout" Dougie said "i'm just sayin you pussy did Mari tell you" he said "nigga shut up I poured fucking coffee on you because you were gripping onto my wrist" I said.

I should've never said that because now Dougie was running to him and punched him in the face "oh shit" Alexis said "he might be the one" Cblu said.

"Pull some shit like that again and I won't be afraid to put a hole in your skull" Dougie said as he kicked him.

"Actually let's go on a walk just me and you" Dougie said as she grabbed Ethan by the shoulder.

"Dougz watch out" I said "Ima call you when i'm done" he said as he walked away.

"I lied Dougie is made for you" Alexis said as she sat next to me, "i've never seen dougie so sum like that for a girl, he must really like you" Cblu said.

Mariana ignored Blu's remark and walked inside. She was extremely tired.

Stepping into the apartment she seen her little sister sleeping on the couch as her mother Martina mopped.

"Hey mami" I said as she came over and hugged me "cuidado el piso está mojado" my mom said. I listened to her and walked on my tippy toes to not dirty the ground.

(Translation: be careful the floor is wet)

I made my way into my bedroom and sat my bag down and I sighed and laid on my bed.

"Mariana wake the fuck up" Alexis said as she pushed my shoulders "what happened" I asked "Dougie got arrested."
