The ball was truly a life of its own Lord Dawson family sure did enjoy every part of a fancy event and made sure everyone knew it from the gold accents on the doors and ceilings, the French paintings hanging on the walls in the hall the silk curtains opened half way to over look the beautiful garden where the huge tents were lined up and the centre had huge stage in the middle for performing alreadt people were fancing around the cirlce the lights were a rose gold colour the house had truly never been more decked out in fancy items as Peneople walked towards the the open curtains she couldn't help but think even Queen Charlotte would be green with envoy.
Colin stood by the drink bar with Simon, Violet and even lady Danbury who kept an eye on the colin as well as the door. "Miss.Featherington finally returned" lady Danbury said suddenly standing next the the two men as Colin looked at the stone stairs he's eyes were fixed on Peneople watching as she walked down the steps.
Penelope walks down the stairs nervous as a bess trapped in a honey jar..everyone was looking at her Colin who's waiting for Penelope from far was gasping for air. He thought "she wearing blue and she looks stunning in it." Violet questioned "Ah yes the colour pulls put her features" lady Danbury smiled, Colin didn't move a muscle, and he could feel it in his bones that the men in the room were watching her which caused something is burn inside his stomach, for some reason he thought she might slip before he knew it he was heading to lead a hand she looked rather beautiful tonight
"MISS.FEATHERINGTON!!" Colin stopped as he noticed the man from the ton Lord debling wondering through the crowd of people who wanted his attention only for he's eyes were focused on Peneople herself as he reached her side holding her hand leading her to the dance floor "better luck next time" late whispered as she passed him every since last week ball Kate seem to know something Colin didn't and I bugged him as a matter of fact since his return colim feels he's been left out of important things he watched Anthony walk with his wife to the dance floor he held her tihht as if he didn't want any man to dance with her.
Throughout the night Colin secretly found himself watching Penelope throughout the event "looks like Lord debling maybe taken Peneople cues of marriage" Benedict mention of the man who danced with pen brought Colin attention "that fool please Peneople would surely has higher class than that" Colin agreed placing one leg above the other "I don't know Colin I saw how they looked at each other Penelope looks as if she's ready to bare his children" Benedict joked
"Benedict don't forget Peneople is our friend you will not speak of her in such a way" Colin declared standing firm clearly his brother wasn't the complete gentleman "I'm surprised to hear that coming from you dear brother has your mind changed again" Benedict questioned rising hos brow he could kick colins behind from he felt like Colin might be kicking himself ever since his last visit with Peneople Featherington he seems to be in a terrible mood.
"Colin's right, Benedict be kind to your brother" Violet said padding Colin's arm.
"I spoke with Dankworth he wishes to dance with Miss.Featherington ' Anthony informed his family "Peneople has a suitor " Violet questioned surprised by Anthony's comment
Peneople stood by the dancefloor smiling as people passed by, Kate was chating away to a ton person Peneople was beyond grateful to Kate for her friendship after Elosie Peneople couldn't help but feel as if she didn't deserve friendship but judging by how Kate treated her and how welcoming Anthony was by his wife's new friendship maybe she did deserve this friendship and by god she wasn't going to let it slip away, as Peneople looked around the room her eyes found the one person she has yet to speak to... Elosie who stood next to Colin.. whom she did not want to speak to... even though her heart leaped a tiny when his eyes found hers making him smile at her of course she wanted to return the smile god heavens she wanted desperately to forget what happened she missed Colin also as much as she missed Eloise but she couldn't let him back into her heart it had been so easy to fall in love with him yet it hadn't been at all easy to fall out of love with him.. Peneople suddenly heard a big laughter that caught her attention as she looked to her right to noticed a bunch of men standing to the side laughing loudly as they stood facing each other in a cirlce, now Peneople would never normally stared for too long and certainly would never approach them since it wasn't the correct way to behave a glance from one of the men made her turned back to kate direction so quickly that if she had drank that night her head would be spinning.
