Harry Styles
Two nights ago
I'm annoyed that Liv and Niall ditched me but I'm not going to sit through a movie while they grope two feet away from me. Actually Liv wouldn't let Niall do much if I was there but still. He would try and they might make out and I would have to listen to Niall.
So they left for the drive-in without me and I worked out in my room, just doing stuff that of course didn't require equipment or weights or anything. Because of the way this family eats, I don't know how they aren't fat. Her parents are awesome cooks. The food at the club tonight was great too.
There was a knock on my door and I assumed it was Mrs. Allen. Maybe I'm being too loud.
I swung the door open and saw Grace. She looked upset. "Hi."
"Hey. Why are you...panting?" (Yes I totally stole this from The Proposal. Anyone love it as much as me? Anyone?)
"I was working out. Why aren't you still with your boyfriend?"
"He's not my boyfriend," she huffed and rolled her eyes, strolling past me. She plopped down on my bed.
"Yeah come on in," I joked.
"Thanks." She didn't get my humor.
"Want to talk about it?"
She shrugged, not really answering my question.
"Did something happen?"
"I just ended it with him."
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. I'm going to college and I don't want to be tied to anyone. I just tried to end it a couple weeks ago and he pulled me back in. But this time I mean it, I'm really done."
"Well that's...good." I don't really know what to say to her. She seems like the type who ends it with a lot of guys who keep chasing after her.
"Are you bored? Want to watch a movie or something?" She pulled her long blonde hair away from her face and into a ponytail.
"Yeah, sure."
We went downstairs and looked through their movie collection.
"Where are your parents?"
"Probably already asleep." She laughed. "They're pushing fifty."
We decided on an Iron Man movie and sat on the couch a good two feet from each other.
I feel like I'm sixteen again. I have learned how to turn on the charm with women. I'm pretty good at flirting. But right now I feel like I've lost every bit of smoothness the last five years in the band has given me.
Grace is cool but I don't know, it seems like she's not all that interested in me. That and the fact that I don't want Liv to hate me.
She glanced at me with her blue eyes, grinned when I caught her, and then looked back at the screen.
We spent a good half hour of the movie doing this little charade. Glancing, smiling, pretending we didn't want to be caught doing so, repeat.
My hand was sitting beside me on the couch and she placed hers over mine. I tried and failed to hold back my smirk.
"What?" She got defensive.
"Nothing." I grinned and turned my hand over, intertwining our fingers.
I only went on that one date with Liv, but I can't help but notice how different her sister is from her. She's more forward and sassy. She's less put together but in a good way. She's more bold. I like it.
