Niall Horan

"What's going on?" I yelled over the music and chatter as I tried to reach them.

"Screw you," she said as she gave him another shove.

Oh god, she must really be drunk. I've seen her pretty mad before but never like this.

"I'm sorry but I had to tell you," Ross told her.

"You're full of shit," she snapped back at him. It's like they don't even see me here. I guess there are still a couple people standing between me and them.

"No I'm not! I've been in love with you since senior year of high school."

"Why would you tell me this now? Four years later when I'm here with my fiancé and we're about to graduate college? Fuck you."

"I know it's bad timing but," he said.

"It's not bad timing," she said to cut him off. "It's not true!"

"It is though." He grabbed her arms.

"Get your hands off me!" She brought her arms away forcefully. I finally pushed through the last couple people between me and them and I pulled Liv away before she could shove him again.

"What's going on?" I asked over the music.

"I'm so fucking sick of all these people who only want something to do with me now that I'm with you," she grumbled to me.

"That's not true," he mumbled lamely. "I'm sorry," Ross said to me. "You're cool. It's just that she had to know."

I'm not even angry at this little prick for telling my girl he's in love with her. Who wouldn't be? Clearly I have nothing to worry about. But Liv is spitting mad.

"You never showed any interest in me until this year! We were friends in high school because you used me for homework help and I fell for it then because I liked you. But now you decide to throw this on me?"

"Liv," he said.

"No! If you really liked me so much you could have invited me to a date party or asked me out or anything at all over these last few years."

"I regret that! I really do. I should've asked you out before you went to London. I seriously regret it."

"Well it wouldn't have changed a damn thing."

"I guess now I know," he said.

"I think we need to go," I said as I pulled Liv away. "What was up with that?"

"So many fucking people have taken a whole new interest in me since I started dating you. I hate it. It's like they think my connection to you can somehow get them somewhere."

"Honey," I wrapped my arms around her and scratched her back. "I know it sucks. But that's life."

"Well it does suck," she whined.

"I know. You're not used to it yet so it hurts your feelings more."

"He doesn't even like me, but he loves the idea of the attention he would get if I broke up with you for him. What kind of sociopath does that?"

"Sorry you lost a friend."

"Me too," she agreed.

"Let's keep having a good time. This has been one of the most fun days ever and it shouldn't end on that."

"I love you." She kissed me then we went to the bar for more drinks.

After another couple hours of drinking and dancing we were wiped.
