3rd pov:

It had been a year.

A year since the tribes had come together at the mating of Neteyam and Kolanan and a year since they sent the Skypeople packing.

A year since unity.

Neteyam and Kolanan were an unstoppable team, the Skypeople, however advanced their weapons, stood no chance against their minds together.

They were incredible leaders and warriors, leading their tribes to victory with little loss.

Neteyam had proved to be just as great a war leader as his father if not better, it had become clear by now that the Skypeople would not just leave forever, they would always come back for whatever reason, there was no getting rid of them forever. So they decided to set up an army of Na'vi from the 3 main clans that was solely focused on defence against the Skypeople.

They could be back in 15 years or in 15 days, but for whatever time they were gone was a gift, they could finally relax.

And they did.

For a couple of months the couple had tried for a baby, eventually succeeding and 9 months later they were now patiently awaiting the birth of their son.

Kolanan, Neytiri, Kiri, Tuk and Tsireya all sat in the cave of the heart of Eywa, they had to make a bigger entrance so a now bulkier Neteyam could fit through, which was also convenient when Kolanan got pregnant because there was no way she was fitting through that gap without flattening herself.

The girls were having their time away from the boys, talking and laughing about their plans for the baby, what kind of dad Neteyam would be, how he would react to the birth.

Tsireya was currently admiring the overgrown belly, her hands gently laying on it to feel for any kicks.

Her and Lo'ak mated a few months ago, deciding it was time to finalise their relationship, and much to Lo'ak's dismay, she was already dying to have kids, fawning over Kolanan's pregnancy, tending to her every need.

Neteyam even said she was trying to steal his job.

"Reya I don't know how you're gonna convince Lo'ak to have a kid. I just can't see him as a dad, well, not yet at least." Kolanan laughed.

"I know, I should wait, but your pregnancy is giving me such baby fever." The Metakayina girl complained.

"When you are both ready, that is the best time, Neteyam made sure I really wanted a child before we tried for one because I wasn't too keen on them before."

"Why not? Children are adorable." Tsireya asked.

"Maybe so, but I guess it was because at that time the only future I had was with Matembo, and I definitely didn't want to have kids with him, I was ready but I just didn't find the right person yet, when I did, things changed. That's not to say you aren't Lo'ak's right person, you're perfect for each other, it just means he has the right person but isn't ready." She explained, Reya nodded, clearly thinking deeply about Kolanan's advice.

"Ow, that's another reason not to get pregnant, it hurts like a bitch, ow, oh, oh my Eywa, ow that hurts a lot wh-" Then she felt a liquid begin to trickle down her leg.

Neytiri sprung up, "It's happening, Tuk, go get Neteyam and the others, Kiri, I need wet cloths and bring me the kit I prepared, it has painkillers and surgical tools if they are needed. Tsireya, lie her down, we must wait for Neteyam to come."

Neytiri checked Kolanan's vitals, it wouldn't be long before the actual birthing stage, that is when the pain would be excruciating.

Tuk and Kiri raced out of the cave, Tuk was older now so she no longer had those little 7 year old legs.
