"Don't be so surprised now...the only thing you two will do, is simply gather information off of the kingdom itself. Before you two set off, you must--" "Woah, woah, woah, woah! stop right there! I'm not letting some stranger just enter my tower." Red Velvet interrupted, glaring over at Espresso. The professor gave him a deep death stare. "It's not like I'll ruin anything." "You might...you don't seem to be wrapped so tight." Red Velvet snickered. Espresso's eye twitched before he evily smiled. "Whatever you say..." "Now now you two, I don't want any fighting. You can wait as long as you want...our master will be here soon. So you two better not start acting like toddlers now." Pomegranate walked up to the two, pushing Red Velvet back a little. The two males glared at each other...they won't get along very well. Pomegranate sighed.

"Just bring him inside...I have things to do. If you have any questions, Espresso, feel free to ask Red Velvet." Pomegranate said. Espresso rolled his eyes. "Please..." "Enough." And with that, she walked off, leaving the two boys alone.

well.

this is awkward.

Red Velvet grabbed Espresso's arm then walked inside. "Ah--...now was that necessary?!" The professor yelled. "Hush, Strawberry Cream is asleep." He said. Espresso rolled his eyes then looked around. "It's..." "It's what?"

"It's so."
"So what."
"It's so spacy."
"Really?"

"Yeah." Espresso responded, yanking his arm away. Red Velvet crossed his arms. "No duh...it's a tower." "Well excuse me, Mr Smarty pants." Espresso looked at Red Velvet. He looked down at his arm once again...god, it's so... unusual. "I don't know if cookies tell you this often, but your arm is very unique." Espresso looked up at Red Velvet. "Wait wha?" "You heard me."

"Oh...uh. Thank you," Red Velvet slightly smiled. The professor nodded. "So, your cake hounds...they are trained, right?" He said. Red Velvet smiled fully...he seemed to love that question. "Yes, they are! I trained them myself! They always listen to me, they always help me, they always--" "Woah now, slow down." Espresso slightly smiled. "You seem to know a lot about cake hounds." "I do. Would you like to see them?" Red Velvet said. Espresso shrugged. "Not sure." "Come on, they don't bite, ya know."

"...Fine,"

Espresso then followed Red Velvet to a room in the back of the tower. He opened the door to reveal many cake hounds...many. Espresso tilted his head. "I'm..." "Shocked? It seems weird having a lot of cake hounds, yes, but they are like family to me." Red Velvet walked over to a cream orange cake hound and began to pet it. Espresso folded his arms...it's quite odd to him to have SO many cake hounds. Espresso wonders if they are good use in battle...they probably are, but he doesn't know. As he was thinking and thinking, a little purple cake hound with light purple spots knudged his leg. He looked down at it. "Oh...hello." He said. The cake hounds wagged it's tail while panting. Espresso kneeled down and began to pet it. "You are quite cute," he said, smiling a little bit. The cake hound knudged Espresso's arm, then licked his hand. "Awww...gross." Espresso slightly frowned then swiped his hand away.

"It didn't poison me...did it?"
"No, she just locked you. It means she likes you!" Red Velvet walked over to Espresso. The professor watched as the cake hound ran off to go play with the other hounds...in utter confusion, he stood up. "I have so many questions..." He said. Red Velvet rolled his eyes. "I thought you knew the answer to everything?"

"Where did you hear that?"
"Pomegranate talks about you...often."
"Oh."
"Yeah."

Red Velvet and Espresso stared at each other for a small moment. Espresso felt himself get a little hot, but obviously, him being him, he brushed it off then walked off somewhere. Red Velvet watched as the professor walked out of the room with a slight smile. "Okay, maybe he's not so bad." He said, walking off as well.
