Chapter 12

Denji woke up feeling that someone is poking him in his cheek, then felt something move beside him. He opened his eyes and saw a bunch of messy white hair and a beautiful sky-blue eye that has tears in the corner, and the owner of the eyes started to blink as well.

Still, Denji stayed in bed frozen, because it's rare seeing Gojo's eyes

The poking becomes worse

"Denji...Hey Denji...Time to wake up."

"Nrgaaa..." Denji yawns and his mouth is wide open. And you'll see some dried saliva

"Mmm...so, we find a way to get off the 8th floor?" Denji asks Himeno

"Unfortunately, it's still looking a bit hopeless. while you were asleep we figured that the water is running and the electricity works. And three were a few things to eat in the luggage left by the guests who ran away. Honestly though...everyone's reaching their limits."

"Aki's been constantly looking for the devil, I don't know what Gojo said to him, but he kept spacing out more than usual, even when I tell him to just rest a little, he won't listen.

Arai was helping him out first, but...The situation's gotten to him now and he's shut himself in the room

And Kobeni snapped a bit and started trying to drink the toilet water, so I knocked her out.

And as for the Devilgirl..." Himeno trailed off

"What happened to Power and where's Gojo?" Denji asked

"Since there was nothing to do, I started thinking about the Nobel prize, If I win the Nobel prize, the humans will all bow down to me! And I can use the Nobel as a stepping stone to becoming prime minister!"

"Since I want to watch the humans suffer...I'll start by instituting a 100% consumption tax' Power said

"That's how she always is." Denji then, ask again where Gojo is

"Oh, she's over there sleeping beside you, I tried waking her up but she just won't budge so I let her sleep," Himeno answered

"Wait, she slept beside me!!" Denji ask flustered

"Three of us should keep an eye on Kobeni, Arai, and Gojo, Since it's just me I can't go to the bathroom," Himeno said

Himeno lit her last cigarette,

"It's boring how you're calmly taking this." Power grumbled under her breath

"Aki's doing his best for now, so it's fine for me to take it easy and relax. Plus, I've got the power of nicotine! I want to live my life with something to rely on. Having something you can depend on is great." Himeno replied,

"That's the same brand as he smokes isn't it?" Denji asked

" 'Cause I was the one who introduced him to it. :)" Himeno proudly said
