Painting the walls, It's grey alright, Wearing denim overalls, Holding my breath so tight, 'Cause everybody who sees you falls in love.
Yeah, I don't like this slivering silver line, This thing I have for you is like a fine line, I don't like that hating you's like falling till I've broken my spine, And I don't like that I would stop breathing until you're mine, 'Cause everybody wants to know what it would be like to have you, Late nights, Cheap wine, I don't like that you show up everyday looking so perfectly divine, And I don't like how our souls are twisted together like a perfect design, 'Cause everybody hates to want you, But I don't like a slivering silver line.
Tiptoeing on wooden floors, Living nearby the moors, Keeping quite in this rush, December swept in a flush.
Yeah, I don't like this slivering silver line, This thing I have for you is like a fine line, I don't like that hating you's like falling till I've broken my spine, And I don't like that I would stop breathing until you're mine, 'Cause everybody wants to know what it would be like to have you, Late nights, Cheap wine, I don't like that you show up everyday looking so perfectly divine, And I don't like how our souls are twisted together like a perfect design, 'Cause everybody hates to want you, And I don't like a slivering silver line.
Sometimes I wonder where you came from, 'Cause it seems you're beauty is out of this world, Sometimes I wonder how you can't play a guitar strum, 'Cause everyone is captured by your beautiful melodies and are so hurled, At late night parties, I won't hate you out for being so loud, Because I secretly enjoy your parties and hope to seek you out, When you hold my hand and joke about how you'll just run me out of the crowd, How can I not hopelessly fall until I'm broken throughout.
Yeah, I don't like this slivering silver line, This thing I have for you is like a fine line, I don't like that hating you's like falling till I've broken my spine, And I don't like that I would stop breathing until you're mine, 'Cause everybody wants to know what it would be like to have you, Late nights, Cheap wine, I don't like that you show up everyday looking so perfectly divine, And I don't like how our souls are twisted together like a perfect design, 'Cause everybody hates to want you, Oh and I don't like a slivering silver line.
