Today is Oki's 18th birthday. And I'm really not ready to face the rest of the Hashimoto family. But I have no choice.
I am the Ebony Wolf, the Big Bad Wolf, a deviant created over 1,000 years ago alongside my other half; the Silver Wolf. I have endured much worse. So a birthday party should be manageable.
After my nerve-wracking talk with my adoptive father, I packed all of my things and headed back to Anima City where the rest of my adoptive family was waiting for me. I felt terrible for leaving behind Fuji but he insisted that I go back so that I could make it on time for Oki's birthday party.
And so, here I am. Right outside Namikawa's restaurant, Beastly Dream.
Taking a deep breath in while I try my best to keep my eyes open, I place my trembling gloved fingers on the door handle of the main entrance and then open it with my heart racing crazily.
Silence immediately fills my heated ears when three heads in the restaurant spin around in my direction, three pairs of eyes wide in shock and surprise when they see who the newcomer is.
"Oh my. It seems I'm not the only early one," I manage to state even though my throat feels so constricted right now. "So is there a specific area for the presents? Um, I have one here—"
