IT TOOK BELLA THREE DAYS TO WAKE UP.

In that time, Renesmee had grown...a lot. Way more than a newborn could grow in three days time, but they weren't really questioning it. Yet.

Lena had also gotten into around four arguments (a day) with Jacob because of his protective nature over the baby. It was creepy and she was surprised that Edward was letting it go down, but she supposed Jacob could be having some form of mental break down slash mid-life crisis, which not only meant that it was a phase but also meant that he would die at 34. It's a win-win in Lena's eyes, but that didn't stop her from being her own form of protective over her goddaughter.

Either way, everyone seemed happy. All the drama that had been following Bella since her arrival in Forks had finally come to an end. It took Lena a while to accept that her best friend was a vampire now, like, for real. It scared her to think about it sometimes, because they were supposed to be natural enemies. Also Bella wouldn't age while Lena slowly died. So that would be weird.

Lena huffed as she scrolled through her phone, staring with a frown at a group photo the pack had posted to Instagram. She knew they were still hanging out because they were using the pack group-chat that she was still in, but they were all ignoring her overall presence in there, as was she. Her eyes drifted to Paul, standing with an arm over Jared and a grin on his face — she frowned deeper.

"Lena."

She turned, shutting her phone off and looking at Carlisle who had snuck up behind her. She smiled, "What's up, Mr Cullen?"

"Bella's awake."

And suddenly, all her worries about Paul and the pack were gone, and she was heading straight to the back room where Bella had been resting. The room was empty, but Alice informed her that Bella had gone out to hunt with Edward and would be back any minute.

When she heard the girl's voice through the trees, she was racing down the steps — ignoring the fact that she wasn't wearing shoes — and soon enough, Bella was in her sight.

Jacob had clearly made it there first, and Bella was talking to him as Lena walked up slowly from behind.

"You're still here." Bella said to him, seemingly not noticing Lena just yet.

"So are you." Jacob nodded, "I didn't expect you to seem so...you. Aside from the creepy eyes."

It was true. Even Lena could admit that Bella's bright red irises were freaking her out a little bit.

Jacob moved a little closer, but Bella held out a hand, "I would—I would keep my distance, for now."

"It's safer for the baby to see how you do with me first." Jacob replied.

"Since when do you care about Renesmee?" Bella asked.

"Oh, this is gonna be good." Lena couldn't help but say, and that's when Bella finally noticed the girl stood beside Jake. She grinned at her, "Hey Bells."

"Lena." The newly turned vampire grinned, her red eyes shining. Lena couldn't help but agree that Bella looked better than ever, skin glowing. The girls grinned at one another, but then Bella's brows furrowed and she said, "Wait, what's gonna be good?"

"Doesn't matter right now." Lena said when she saw Edward give a shake of his head. She stepped a little closer and gestured to herself, "Take a whiff. Don't be too harsh."

Bella did so, taking a deep inhale of Lena's shirt. She stepped back a little, eyebrows raised, "Well, I can see what everyone's been talking about. You really do stink."
